Eagles are ripe to be crushed by the Rams this week.

This could be Wentz's last game this season if a sack-o-rama breaks out!

If the Rams score TDs instead of FGs or missed FGs they will dominate. Otherwise I’m expecting another close game.

are we staying on the East coast after the game? I know the NFL said they didn't want teams to do that but sounds like Frisco is going to stay when they go back...was that just a suggestion or a mandate?
Don't think they are letting teams do that with the covid going on.

Pederson likes to air it out now and again. It will be interesting to see how the Rams defensive backfield handles it.

If the Rams can get pressure on Wentz, that's when he threw the interceptions, so hopefully he follows suit. He was not running like in years past. Instead he was forcing the throws. Miles Sanders will be back so he will have a better check down option. His is not looking like a gimme to me.

My sons friend is an Eagles fan and he said in disgust, " the Eagles lost to a team that doesn't even have a name". :ROFLMAO: Here's hoping they continue their losing streak. Lincoln is due to get some payback against his buddy for the last few years.

Eagles will be playing with urgency.

This will be a good test for our mental prep. Any given Sunday we can lose like anyone else... but we should win this one and the Rams see the Eagle vulnerabilities like we do...

So, mentally prepared.... go in there and take care of business, Rams. Be prepared for a fight.

I'm with the posters here that voice caution. Never underestimate the collective effort of a wounded team, it's how upsets happen every year.

Celebrating another team's injuries seems like bad karma to me. How many years did we suffer OLine injuries that wrecked our seasons? Answer, most of this century.

The fact we dominated the depleted Cowboys but nearly lost the game better be our collective mantra or next week I won't want to read anything about our team (even though I can't help myself and will anyway).

If you read Coach's and Goff's pressers they both have a lot of respect for the eagles and treat them like they're not injured. Granted there are injuries right? But the next player behind them is still talented enough to play on a professional football squad.

IMO if the Rams can't beat a wounded bird then they aren't a championship-caliber team. I'm looking for a Super Bowl contender, not simply a playoff contender. I think 2018 set the minimum bar for expectations for this team otherwise we are saying 2018 was a fluke. I honestly believe this roster is better than 2018's and if I'm right then this team is heading in the right direction.

This is not about the Eagles, as each week it isn't about the opposition. It's about the Rams and how they play. They play to their talent level each week then they can be that SB contender. I'm glad Staley feels this defense is a work in progress. Too many missed tackles, with too many players out of position. Too many times the defense lacked adequate play recognition as it was clear they were reacting not anticipating. But it's not just the players, it's in the coaches with their prep and play calling. I think on both sides of the ball there were times they simply didn't trust their players. Those two TDs were the results of O'Connell trusting his players and simply being aggressive. That part of the equation will come with time as the coaches know what their team's strengths and weaknesses are. It's obvious that this team has returned to being soft against the run in the middle. As much as they seem to like Sebas it really is time to adjust their roster. He simply doesn't play to his size.

Ebukam is a true SAM LB and should be used that way. The flats were consistently open with no one to set a hard edge of keep contain. Staley's defense as played against the Boys would get ripped apart by a running QB. He can get pressure with 4 if he plays the right 4. His MIKE needs to be positioned as a true MIKE to defend that soft middle. His OLB (not the pass rushing JACK) needs to be positioned to take away the flats for dump offs, screens, and rollouts. Their edge defense was poor. Dak is a mobile QB but McCarthy didn't use him in that way and the Rams were lucky he didn't because the perimeter defense didn't look good. I expect Wentz to be rolling out to escape the quick pressure.

I know there are some people who watched Floyd and Ebukam's pass rush and would say they did a poor job. But in reality, they were playing containment as well as penetration. I could tell by the way they rushed, having seen both as a true pass rusher. The problem with that is that by using his outside rushers to maintain contain instead of positioning his OLB and Mike to fill that responsibility it reduces the effectiveness of the outside rushers as it limits their aggressiveness. It also makes it easier for the offense to break that contain. This is what I mean about playing to his player's strengths not trying to pigeon hole them to fit a scheme. This is a classic mistake of a newbie coach. Instead of knowing the strengths of his players and building his scheme around them, he's trying to fit the players into his envisioned scheme. He needs to turn his front 4 pass rushers loose and then play his LBs and safeties behind them to maintain perimeter contain and the A gaps. That's why IMO the pass rush wasn't what it needed to be and Dak threw for so many yards. If he plays that way against Wentz the Eagle offense could have a big day. They now have the film to see these weaknesses.

The Rams should dominate the Eagles on both sides of the ball. If they don't then it's on the coaches because this team in terms of talent matches up well. Oh, and IMO Hill played like crap, too many times he was caught flat-footed and was abused by the Boy's rookie.

Teams must return home after games.

Rams arent going to take the Eagles lightly. They are the only team McVay has multiple losses to without a victory against. I think they will be primed for this.
Also, just made me think, McVay has won the opener 4 straight, when was the last time that happened???

Edit:
Just Checked, last time they won 4 straight openers was 94-97. Knox 1, Brooks 2,3 and Dickey V with the 4th
Last coach to do it?
George Allen 1966-1969!

Disagree. The Rams are not a Super Bowl contender....Yet. They are not a dominant team...Yet. IF they improve incrementally throughout the season they will be an NFC contender and perhaps be able to go toe to toe with the Chiefs or Ravens. However I do expect them to improve this year, carry that momentum into the coming years and be a dominant team for years to come.

One game at a time.

Heard one of the local reporters that follows the Eagles say since 2017 after there five worst losses the Eagles came back and won the next week.

The Eagles are getting a lot of players back for this game against the Rams.

Ram's defensive line is not nearly as good as Washington's defensive line even with AD.

Local sports radio is high on the Eagles this week.

It's going to be a very hard-fought game.

Eagles defense is legit and they dominated the FT in week one. They're also getting Johnson and Sanders back on offense.

This is a tough game and IMO Eagles should be favored by 2

For a team with all the COVID restrictions in the offseason, a new OC and DC with their schemes, this team played very well. That wasn't an undermanned team they just beat. Dak is an outstanding QB with some good receivers and an elite RB. Don't underestimate the win.

As I've said, people tend to look at the opposition and wring their hands. We should be looking at the Ram roster and how well they played out of the gate. The focus should be on the Rams and their roster, not worrying about the opposition. What we should be focused upon is what adjustments the Rams will make to improve on both sides of the ball. Goff keeps proving if he has decent play from the o-line and even a modicum of a run game to support him he's absolutely dangerous. That pass to Jefferson along the sideline was an absolute dime. If I were the Eagles I'd be worried about Wentz's health with Donald coming to town. He took Zeke who is a pretty good blocker and not a small man and tossed him aside like a rag doll. IMO if the Ram run attack can get anywhere near 100 yds combined, the Eagles will have a hard time stopping this offense. I will take our defense over the Eagles any day.

The Rams shouldn't take any team lightly, but neither should they fear them. All the issues I saw with the Rams on both sides of the ball are correctable issues with coaching and scheme adjustments. The Rams should go into games with the mindset they will force the opposition to beat them, and not worry about beating the opponents if they simply play their game and execute well, i.e. dictate the game and force the opposition to adjust to you.

Exactly!! McVay and company haven't forgotten. Like Dallas, this another payback game for the Rams. I expect the Eagles to play much better than their epic collapse last week, but the Rams will be ready too.
