Might be agent talk... if Rams don't come out of draft with a QB prospect we will be more desperate to sign a backup and agent now has all the leverage. Same applies for any other teams that might fail at getting a QB in draft and need a starter and/or bridge QB.

When McVay publicly "invited" Kirk Cousins to call him (or whatever he said in that interview) I figured it meant that Jimmy G might not be coming back. And why would he? He doesn't make much money, he sits on the bench mostly, and he largely goes unnoticed. I don't care how talented he is... no pro athlete wants to sit on the bench (unless they know they suck-lol). My guess is that Jimmy wants to either 1) play or 2) make money. He's not getting either from the Rams and possibly no one else either. So he is sitting in limbo right now. Who knows?

I agree but he's already made around 150 million and, if he was somewhat smart, he might still be worth that much. But even Tutu made 10 million last year. Backup QB's are making anywhere from 5-10 million. I just don't think Jimmy g needs the money.

IF....he's seriously considering retirement, he should not sign anywhere, wait for a QB to get injured and get a nicer paycheck PLUS play.
IF....he's really not considering retirement, he should sign somewhere as a backup for the best offer.
