Isn't Aaron Rodgers playing? I'm figuring he is.
Ha, so am I.

Shadow of his former self and one more year older. The team was bad last year and they have to wheel the defense out of the old folks home, I see them trending down. That 10-7 was a paper tiger and in a surprising year where Bengals and Ravens took some hits.

Nah, the Steelers are NEVER Top 5 pick bad. Very rarely even Top 10. They'll be picking anywhere from 12-18 a-gain, well out of range of Top 2-3 QB's and theyre not a " "splash draft trade " type of team.

Simpson is a good speculative play for them this Draft, IF they love him of course......

We’ll see. This isn’t Tomlins Steelers anymore

Any order of Cooper/Ponds/Rodriguez I'd be down with. Could even convince me of Kyle Louis if Rodriguez is gone. Dude can lock up the RB/TE.

My only concern after that would be swing OT. I'd like to see us take the chance on OT Isaiah World with a 3rd or later pick.

When McVay publicly "invited" Kirk Cousins to call him (or whatever he said in that interview) I figured it meant that Jimmy G might not be coming back. And why would he? He doesn't make much money, he sits on the bench mostly, and he largely goes unnoticed. I don't care how talented he is... no pro athlete wants to sit on the bench (unless they know they suck-lol). My guess is that Jimmy wants to either 1) play or 2) make money. He's not getting either from the Rams and possibly no one else either. So he is sitting in limbo right now. Who knows?

He doesnt make much money?
He'd make 3-4 mill as a backup QB on the Rams, I cant see where he'd land a job off the field that will pay him more than that

I agree but he's already made around 150 million and, if he was somewhat smart, he might still be worth that much. But even Tutu made 10 million last year. Backup QB's are making anywhere from 5-10 million. I just don't think Jimmy g needs the money.

What is the best move for JG?

IF....he's seriously considering retirement, he should not sign anywhere, wait for a QB to get injured and get a nicer paycheck PLUS play.
IF....he's really not considering retirement, he should sign somewhere as a backup for the best offer.

Might be agent talk... if Rams don't come out of draft with a QB prospect we will be more desperate to sign a backup and agent now has all the leverage. Same applies for any other teams that might fail at getting a QB in draft and need a starter and/or bridge QB.

Why is there 2 Jimmy G POST ??

Anyways agree - Les Snead went on a Ramble about Picks 7th rd 207 & 208 ? I guess he is in MAD SCIENTIST MODE!!

Les thinks he is going to find The NEXT PURDY BOY !!

Mcvay was looking at him crooked eye on screen zooming. Sean though said Kimmy might be thinking ONE WAY. Mcvay said he WILL change his MIND !!!

I don’t think RAM FANS know THE LOVE Mcvay has for certain players.
This guy means a lot more to The Rams than most think.

One of life's great mysteries.
Season 6 Whatever GIF by The Office

So, drafting Simpson, is that the absolute nail in the coffin of Jimmy G, Stetson? Or both….

I would hope its goodbye to G-String and his likely contract demands. Saves us some coin we could use for some free agents to shore up some positions.

On the bright side of the Simpson selection? I no longer have to hear Garoppolo's name called. Ever.

I still haven't forgiven him for signing with us the very day AD retired. Or being a Cheatriot and Whiner.
