Just when teams thought they could breathe a sigh of relief with the retirement of AD, we get Verse and Fiske who are already balling out as rookies. I can’t overstate how much I love this, and Rams opponents probably can’t overstate how much they hate it.
Yeah it's amazing. To hit on Verse in the year AD retired is impressive shit. And with Turner and Fiske on the interior this DL is going to get better and better.

If it was me I'd be on the lookout for a legit nose to put between those boys. Or a 5T. Either works, since Turner is flexible. But I think one more stud up front would make this DL unstoppable next season.

I am tired of seeing Verse's stats compared to rookies. I want to see him compared to every edge

I am pretty shocked he is this effective. It was clear in college his physical strength was his best attribute which undercut a lot of his game, not strictly his bull rush. I was not sure how it would translate to the NFL level. I did think he would be good, but not great, as a result. To my surprise, he seems able to absolutely bully pretty much every NFL offensive lineman he comes across. The dude is a monster! Good thing he is on our side. Curious how his career develops. His type of game seems higher risk to fall off faster when age starts to hit, or injuries pile up, but we're several years away from that yet - knock on wood re: the injury part.

Obviously nobody (except maybe V8) saw him being this dominant early on, but I did feel he’d be the best of the bunch. His get off is so much faster than most. That (IMO) is why his bull rush is so effective. He’s there so quickly that the OL isn’t ready. Then he throws in a change up. He’s a fucking stud.
