What an interesting thread topic.

I’m gonna take a different tack here.

I’ll say that if any single one of the following makes the Pro Bowl, then the Rams will have an excellent chance to appear in the SB.

Goff
Cooks
Everett
Either starting Edge rusher
The starting ILB next to Barron

Yep, if any one of the above players has a Pro Bowl season then I think we’re in. I think that we’re THAT close.

Any Edge player. That would mean we are putting a hurting on QBs from all levels - middle, coverage and edge.

Ogbonnia Okoronkwo. He'd probably need around 10 sacks to do so. That would be monstrous to add to a defense with so many other weapons.

We had eight or nine Pro Bowlers last year and didn't win a playoff game. Don't see that being a determining factor.

The player that we need to play his best football in January? Jared Goff.

We also need wr's to not drop td passes in January.

I expect many Rams to make the Pro Bowl. Most likely are Gurley, Goff, Cooks, Saffold, the CBs, Joyner, Suh and Donald.

If Longacre, Ebukam, Obo, Fox or other edge rusher makes the Pro Bowl that spells Trouble for opposing offenses.

Goff, because that would mean everybody else on offence must have played lights out. Everyone knows Goff is a trailer. Blue font.

Hemingway/Higbee/Everett. One of those three. Means that our tight ends went from a weakness to dominance, and since they're catching and blocking, and since they're the most important part of a McVay offense, having them dominate will let McVay do whatever the fuck he wants to opposing defenses.

Add in a top special teams and a top defense, and we're Super Bowl champions!

Man, this is a super tough question, and as we can see there have been many posts with a variety of choices.

Having said that, I pick Ndamukong Suh. If Suh is selected I can only derive that everything worked on our defense. Rams got their pressure on the opposing QBs, and our new secondary shut'em down. Defense Wins Championships!!!

Brockers, because we know AD will make it and Suh possibly . But if the Brockers goes that means the Rams DL got a lot of sacks and possibly ended the season for more than 1 QB.

I was initially thinking the blatantly obvious Goff answer. Then a couple posts in someone mentioned "any linebacker" and boom, there is the thread winner.
