The Rams had their chance and well......

There's no telling how it will go from here for them. But I am pissed they got their title right away in their head coach's tenure. He may end up like Tomlin, who benefitted from a strong staff at the outset. I am of the mind, however, that in the biggest game the best thing you can do is have a strong defense that gets the ball back to your offense and also gives them some short fields as well as buys your QB room for error.

Also I think the Rams jumped Seattle this offseason. However like I said last year MacDonald is gonna be a problem. He's in that top group as a head coach in his ability to teach, certainly. So I expect in let's say the next handful of years that Seattle is going to have a couple extremely fine defenses. Which means they're going to get more shots at it.

Best case scenario is McVay gets us another ring this year, and Shanny ends up souring in SF and gets axed, to be replaced by someone not as good. Then it'll be McVay vs MacDonald and I like our chances to come out on top for the most part.
Time will tell if McDonald will have the longevity as a successful coach the way McVay has had. The sample size is small right now. He's certainly off to a good start. How much is him and how much is the GM John Schneider I don't know. We know McVay and Snead work together really well in building a team.

I still can’t believe Sam Darnold makes money as an NFL QB.

I wouldn’t say Darnold won a Super Bowl.

I would say Darnold was QB when the Seahawks defense won a Super Bowl.

Wish this was true instead of irrational hate. Wonder who that was shredding the Rams up and down the field late 1st Half/early 2nd Half in Championship Game then???

Yeah, there seems to be this attitude that’s it’s ok to give credit to an excellent seahawk defense, but not darnold. He didn’t make mistakes. They ran roughshod over the Rams defense like everyone else did the second half of the season.

Seahawks defense? The Rams scored 85 points on them in three games. No, THEIR defense wasn’t the problem.

Not to mention, his 28-6 record over the last 2 seasons, with two DIFFERENT teams. Yeah, he sucks....

You have to give the guy credit. He managed his end and didn’t crap the bed under pressure (not that the Rams gave him much).

I recall the 9ers being up 10 in the 4th against the chiefs in the SB when jimmy g-string threw a really bad pick. It was the one I keep mentioning in our conversations here—the mid range out.
I remember calling it too. That’s a big time mistake to make when you’re up 10 and you have a top defense.

Flacco, Dilfer, Davis, Foles. The made the right throws, a couple big ones, each game but didn’t fuck up. They earned their trophies.

I was just going through my usual weekly Rams highlights, watching the new guys and I decided to finally rewatch the NFC championship. I’m am still in total shock that Sam Darnold has a ring. It actually might be the most bewildering thing to ever happen in the NFL. I truly do not understand how in the world this was ever able to take place.

I mean, look at this year by year stat line. How the fuck did he just randomly become good? None of it makes sense. I don’t think I’ll ever get over it.

77.

Anyway, rant over. It just blows my mind.
Better teams. I’d say Seattle won last year in spite of him in some respects.
