I just saw what Isaiah Crowell did after his TD run

Throwing the ball into the crowd is OK now. It was against the rules and got a player fined..........which is stupid. It makes someones day when they get that ball!
Yeah, well....(n)...forty bucks was a lot of money back then, Les.

If somebody chucked a ball in the stands back then, they’d have to hustle over to Big 5 for a new ball, and concessions would have to buy those really cheap hot dogs the next week to keep the books in the black.

Really? Do you think kids don't know how to wipe their own ass? Relax. While I agree it is a lowbrow move, I can't possibly see how it harms any kid, man, or woman. Watching this "violent" game of football is probably a bigger detriment to a child then just these silly celebration dances.

hahahaha I know right?
Football is supposed to be about fun. Let them have their fun.

How dare you sir!!!!

I'm sure that some people will think that it's funny but there is no place in sport for this type of behavior.

I'm with you Les. For me it's not that I'm offended, just sort of sad at witnessing the continued lack of class in just about everything nowadays. Cheers my man. (y)

For every one Crowell there are millions pure acts of class going on - people just need to open their eyes to it and you'll see

It's threads like this that give that shit (no pun intended) more unnecessary pub.

Maybe we should start a Class Act thread to prove my point

As a father of two teenage boys, that celebration wouldn't even register on the vulgar-meter in our house.

Yeah I think they should probably work on getting all the women beating/harassing degenerates out first before they start coming down hard on guys celebrating TD’s. Perspective.....

Because it isn't possible to do BOTH things at the same time?

And I am ALL for celebrating as I said, it makes the game fun.

But that was just classless.

This is strictly my opinion but if you get offended my butt wiping and crotch grabbing then you need to wake up and smell the coffee. We’re not living in the 80s or 90s anymore. We’re at a point in time where kids have access to the World Wide Web on their smartphones and tablets. They can practically search for anything and everything their little hearts desire. I can almost guarantee you your children have or will have looked at something more vulgar. As long as you raise your children right I doubt these celebrations will affect their development to become decent human beings.

It doesn't matter when we are living, and using that as a pass for this is wrong IMO.

Where has the sportsmanship gone?

Out the window..........I guess some people are entertained by this type of thing.

I love it when people get offended over crap I forget about as soon as it happened.

Again, I'm not personally offended. I think it was a douche move that the NFL doesn't need. And the same with the crotch grab.

It has no place as far as I am concerned.

While I agree it is a lowbrow move, I can't possibly see how it harms any kid, man,

It doesn't harm kids in any sense that it hurts them. But do people need to see that type of thing? Does it do any good? What's the point of it?

Yeah, well....(n)...forty bucks was a lot of money back then, Les.

I think the fine that they lifted was $250 which is nothing even to a guy on the minimum salary. I've often wondered why players don't give balls to fans more often, it would be a cool thing to do.

We think alike on this. I'm far from a whiny sniveler about stuff but time and place matter, respect matters too.

And when people shrug it off and say "meh whatever" that opens the door for the next person to go even lower.

The NFL needs to work on it's imagethat's no secret and crotch grabbing and ass wiping should be on the list.

This is a business, and it's making billions despite so many fans that are upset about many things and the league sports a poor image. Once again I will say that the NFL needs to look at the NBA and glean some lessons. The sport is great, the league is not.

I get that Dieter. Doesn't change that something should be done to keep the NFL product as classy as possible. From my point of view. Cheers man.

It's funny to see people use the word "class" when talking about the NFL. A sport where people are literally beating their heads in on the field, and committing horrendous crimes off of it. Owned by drunks, and crooks and adulterers. Cheered on by drunken bloodthirsty fans who not only fight each other but also the players, not to mention hurl objects onto the field. Sponsored by companies showing tits and ass, and "classy" companies like Viagra and Cialis. Maybe I'm too young to have lived through the good ole classy days of the NFL.

Not offended by the celebration, but it should warrant a flag or ejection; someone's gonna try to be more egregious than that if the refs continue to be lax about it.

I am a gross sob so it didn't offend me but it does ask the question where will it end. the players will have to think long and hard to come up with something grosser then wiping your ass with a football and then throwing it in the stands.

I don't know how much you follow the NBA but here is a good example.

Years ago the NBA had a really, really serious image issue. Stern, who IMO may be the best sports commish of my lifetime, knew he had to institute changes because fans were unhappy with the pace of the game, the overabundance of way, way too hard fouls, the hand checking even with two hands (not sure if you recall that crap), the league was viewed by so many as a group of "thugs" that all smoked weed and the list goes on. Players were dressing sloppily and it was a bad look to many fans getting on and off airplanes and buses.

Stern worked with the union to fix some things and just installed rules on his own because he could. And the leagues image changed pretty quickly. Now they are enjoying tremendous popularity. The NBA's ratings have been rising for several years now with one year being a dip, while the NFL's are dropping. ABC was up 17% themselves.

And that means the revenues are higher.

They changed things to improve the game itself, and to improve the public's perception of the players. They worked hard to make changes to their cap rules, and still do that.

I don't know why the owners love Goodell so much, IMO he's holding the revenues down by not making rules changes to the game that fans are turned off by.

They can't even figure out what the fuck a catch is..........it's that stupid. The league is run by tone deaf doofuses.

This isn't about individual perceptions as much as lack of respect and class and overall fan perception and image.

It was just dumb... crotch grab worse imo.

I'm not even close to offended by any of these things... but I think they look trashy and stupid.
