I wonder how many women I could pick up with that handle lolThat poster was trying to be an A-hole but inadvertently have you a gift.
Johnny Tano is a great name for a Forum handle ... and a porn star!
It would apply to their own draft choices which they have a 2nd 3rd and a 6th. Big difference from picking last in a round like last year and possibly between the 3rd and 6 pick that they will end up with this year. They could use the 2nd and 3rd to move around in the rounds.I was referring to the idea that every Rams’ loss helps their draft position. That doesn’t apply to comp picks.

Great context and great point.Yeah, I get that.
Originally (on page 1), I was replying to a poster that pointed-out the losses put the Rams in better position "for all those rounds"; and I pointed-out that it was really just two meaningful picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds because the Rams, in addition to not having their own #1, also did not have their own #4 and #5.
I believe Brady was a 6th round pic. I may be wrong but I think he was. Maybe we can get lucky with a RB or O-Lineman.So basically Snead has six 6th round draft choices. This should be interesting.
He likes to play soft zone. It's His preference.Nope.
Not that easy.
You tell me *why* would he run an attacking, flexible scheme last year… and not run it this year?
You say this defense is failing.. why would someone choose the worse option, when they have chosen different in the past?
Give me a logical explanation.
Mine is that he doesn’t have the personnel to successfully run what you suggest and they believe this is the best chance for keeping the score close.
The reason we won the superbowl was because Morris was more aggressive in the playoffs and against cinci. The amount of vitriol aimed at a DC who played a key role in getting the Rams a Super Bowl is, at times, astounding to me.
I guess people gotta aim their angst somewhere.
Wow Staley. Wow.The Rams should have overpaid the guy they let go and now is coaching the Chargers. THAT was a great defense.
Morris is terrible and anyone can coach AD.
Tired of watching Rams DBs 10 yards off the receiver they are up against.
We have 3 wins and I do not think the Rams would have 2 wins if they got up in those receivers faces more.
Morris coaches like he is scarred.
He needs to stop letting JR play all over and let him pin the top WR to the sideline and go with that. He is not 23 anymore.
Except when he had players who could play more press and were better in coverage and had a real pass rush.. that’s not how they played. He likes to play soft zone. It's His preference.
Except he changed a lot last year. The reason we won the superbowl was because Morris was more aggressive in the playoffs and against cinci.
As soon as I saw 5 and 6 man fronts early in the nfc championship game I knew it was different. In the 2 seasonal losses we used 4 man fronts and got run over. In the nfc title game rams gave up 50 yards. The difference was scheme not players.
You are caught up in thinking that criticizing the defense is saying the players aren't as good as they are but that's not what some of us are saying.
We're saying, don't play so soft, especially when Brady is on a game winning drive. Don't put Rapp in coverage. Use more 5 and 6 man fronts, etc.
We had these Sam discussions last year when the Rams played basically prevent defense in their losses, but alot of us here gave props to Morris as he tweaked his scheme to be more aggressive.
It's the same this year.
You keep getting lost in the fact that alot of people criticize when he plays too loose but commend him when he plays more aggressive, especially since that has been when the Rams d has been their best.Except he changed a lot last year.
And he’s blitzed plenty this year
He’s using Rapp because Fuller is hurt.
He had the personnel to be aggressive.. and he was.

When you have Warner, Aikman and Romo talking about how how soft the secondary is, you have a problem. If you don't recognize this, then you have a bigger problem. I appreciate your analysis but I'll take those 3 guys over anyone's on rod.
Mcvay over 2 HOFrs with 4 superbowls or those 3 qbs with their view from the qb position vs a college qb is debatable but everything they said proved to be true and has whenever Morris got weak kneed, so I'll the the proof in the pudding over the Kool aid.Oh, boy.
And I’ll take McVay’s decisions over any of them.
And… yes, it’s McVay’s decision. Feel free to think otherwise, but they’re playing the defense he wants played.
I’d say the proof is in the pudding in a Super Bowl win for our Rams.Mcvay over 2 HOFrs with 4 superbowls or those 3 qbs with their view from the qb position vs a college qb is debatable but everything they said proved to be true and has whenever Morris got weak kneed, so I'll the the proof in the pudding over the Kool aid.
Dude, again, you get lost in the nuances. I bagged on Morris, and even mcvay at times when the play calling OBVIOUSLY cost games, but I'm always looking to praise them when they make the adjustments that have proven benefits.I’d say the proof is in the pudding in a Super Bowl win for our Rams.
But that’s just me.
You overlook the fact that he played the defense differently in the playoffs than he did at the beginning of last season and this season. He played aggressively in the playoffs and returned to his overly soft prevent defense as his base defense this year. He's playing guys in the few times he calls man coverage who aren't suitable in that style of play. He has two better options to Hill, Kenrick and Long who are zone CBs. Only long has the speed to play man, but he has always struggled to play that style. Rochell and Durant are far better options in man coverage than Long and especially Kendrick who has proven time and again this season he lacks the speed to play that style. So explain why as a DC Morris doesn't see that? Either he doesn't know his players or it's as was the complaint in Atlanta they aren't his guys, i.e. his buddies. It's the problem when a DC socializes with certain members of his unit and not others. It leads to the perception of favoritism which from what I've heard was the same in Atlanta as it is here. It's why in the military officers and enlisted are separated. You can't make objective decisions when some are friends and others aren't. Kendrick is athletically limited and Morris turns a blind eye. It's no different when all this time McVay turned a blind eye to Wolford's limitations. I'm no coach but even I could see it.The amount of vitriol aimed at a DC who played a key role in getting the Rams a Super Bowl is, at times, astounding to me.
