I think our trade pieces are JRey and Woods. I could see us offering JRey to the Skins for Reed.

Reed is the perfect trade target for McVay. He is undervalued right now due to injuries but an explosive piece in McVay's scheme. Our TEs are solid but unspectacular. The relationship too between McVay and the Skins should allow for good discourse.

JRey meanwhile is ready to play, knows the system, and brings club control for Skins.

Really? I don't see that at all.

Woods is a bargain on his contract and arguably our most reliable WR.

Reynolds is still a bit of an unknown - while he's flashed at times, if I'm another team, I'm not giving up more than a 6th for him, which doesn't make sense for the Rams to do.

I think Brockers is the main trade piece based on how this regime has operated the past two years. Barron would be, but doubtful anyone would trade for him.

Brockers for a 4th round pick would be my official Rams trade prediction. Lots of people don't see him and Suh leaving, but I do - remember, we traded Quinn last year and had nothing behind him for edge rushers. We relied on a complete unknown in Ebukam. And if I did have to pick between the two, I'd pick Suh and move him to Brockers position.

Yes and that is what makes Woods an extremely valuable trade chip. That doesn't mean the Rams want to move him of course, just that he's a piece other teams would be very interested in. Brock, on the other hand, is a guy who didn't play up to his contract last season which means he's not nearly as valuable a trade chip. What you want to trade and what your best chips are, those are two different things.

JRey meanwhile isn't a finished product but he's got some reasonably good tape, upside, and knows the Skins' offense by virtue of his time here. I think he'd have some strong value for the Skins thanks to those things plus 2 years of team control. That's not to say he'd be enough to get Reed, as that comes down to what offers they get around the league, but just observing he'd be a really nice starting offer in trade.

It's time the Rams start finding less costly assets. They need to keep their picks and make solid free agent signings. I don't see them trading high draft picks for expensive players like Miller. Although, Miller would be the one to think about. Forget Brown and Reed (injured too much). McVay needs to change things up on the offense using Everett more, 12 personnel more with some new plays. A big WR to develop would be a good idea to add to Woods, Kupp, Cooks, Higs Everett and Reynolds.

I don't see anything special in him that would make a team want to trade for him. At best a 6th rounder?

Wait, did I miss something?? :bueller:(n)Why would we want Rosen’s when we have Goff?

Well, if the Rams could get him cheap in trade (unlikely) he would fill the backup QB role for the next 3 seasons for relatively little and have major upside. His 5th year option would be too expensive to pick up if he's a backup, of course.

He also would potentially give the Rams an option if Goff turns out to be too expensive for what he brings (again, unlikely). Insurance is always a good thing, and the Rams have needed a backup for Goff they would trust.

Barron for 3-32-95 Cleveland Browns (from New England Patriots).
3-32-95 for Jerry Hughes (BUF OLB).

I would welcome a Jalen Ramsey move.

We have the right infrastructure in place to keep him in line.

Ramsey would fit a man scheme better than Peters.

As would I. I'd highly welcome a Ramsey move. I just hesitate at what it might cost.

So we lose a 1 and have to wait till the third round for our first selection to fill the holes we’ll be left after what we expect to be a tough off-season of decisionmaking??? For a backup qb??

Cmon fam...

Now Ramsey I’ll gladly take off JAX’s hands.. send back peters and our 1, maybe entice their second if we chuck in a couple of thirds and we got a deal.

Personally I think our WRs Cooks, Woods and Kupp are an extremely complimentary trio and are a potent three headed attack. Throw in an AB or OBJ and you have to shave your throws to the other two to massage their ego. I'm hoping that our TEs become redzone monsters to be honest.

I'd rather pick up someone in the draft at this point.

Do they? Has there been anything released on this?? I think there are other positions which we need to look at before a backup QB - RG & C are two positions I'd like to bolster, along with our LB core. I want to retain Fowler Jr. because IMHO, he played well for us, some stelar games (esp. NO)

Yeah. Do you really think the Rams could have got a 1st and 4th from anyone for Goff' following his rookie year? No way, and that's about where Rosen's value is right now. A highly drafted QB who got beat up in a bad system who has talent but who also looks like a bust.

Hot take though. Weird.

Brockers, Higbee and Peters are 3 potential players the Rams could trade, IMO

If the Rams want to keep Suh and he wants to stay, Brockers contract sure looks like the way to pay Suh. Cant see more than a 6th rounder for Brockers, since its the last year of his contract, at a pretty good rate.

Higbee was rumored to be traded last year, he too is in the last year of his contract. A team needing a starting TE may give up a pick, once again tough to get more than a day 3 pick for a player in the last year of his contract. Either way, looking for the Rams to draft a TE this april.

Bradley Roby is a free agent, and has a history with Wade. Rams could open up a starting spot and salary spot for him by moving Peters. Once again, last year of his contract, a compensation pick looks like a good possibility in 2020, maybe a 3rd this year, Rams could send back a 5th with Peters.

Alot of free agents out there that would be tremendous upgrades. Primarily at
Mlb
Olb
Safety

A trade though...I would say we ship a third or 4th round pick to Washington for Jordan Reed. We need tight ends that can get open and make plays when tbe recievers cant .
