We are gonna get hosed. They say it's going to lose strength by the time it nears Florida's West coast... but the doom porn weather fucks claim it's gonna drop from a CAT 4 to a CAT 1 super fast. They're either full of shit about it really reaching CAT 4 strength for ratings or this storm is totally different from all of the others I've been through.

Whatever... this looks fucked. Stocking up on alcohol today in prep. Fucking A.

Officially cat 5 now. Crazy storm, stay safe all and I wouldn't assume anything about what it might do no matter what the predictions say being that this is abnormal to begin with.

I have never posted anything like this but I am sincerely concerned about all the people in the hells path but particularly two brothers and their families @Selassie I and @LARams_1963.

Please be safe and do what you can. Both M-Wife and my thoughts and prayers are with you. If there is anything me and the M-wife can do, please let us know. We have a big house with empty rooms and dog friendly. A long way away but a place in case all others fall out. Love you brothers.

@Selassie I are you staying put or evacuating?

We're not on the coast where the storm surge can really be unsurviveable. Those folks obviously evacuate. We're far enough inland to be completely out of the evacuation areas. So... we are definitely staying. Hell, I'll probably go to the office tomorrow.

Seems like you guys are spooked maybe a little from the reports. I get it. I realize that TV stations get some of their highest ratings during the lead up to a storm hitting. All storms are dangerous, but this one isn't one that requires Central Florida residents to evacuate. We should be just fine... but will probably lose power. But I have a generator AND... a backup generator just in case. We brought in all of our outside furniture from the pool deck last night. Ready to roll.

I know it's not life threatening, but what about your boat? Warren Sapp would be upset if he couldn't bag a marlin with you, bruddah!

I have a giant trailer that my boat sits on unless we're out fishing or staying somewhere that has a boat slip. Fortunately, I have plenty of space on my property to park it... and it's allowed by our HOA as long as it's parked behind a fence. I have a 12 foot gate on one side of my house. So she's fine and has been through multiple storms sitting on her trailer. I have to be a little careful dragging it around because it's actually 13' 8" high sitting on the trailer... 2 inches higher than a tractor trailer is allowed to be.

Just sheer curiosity, you strap the trailer down to the ground at all so it doesn't turn over or scoot around your yard?
