I still havent heard a peep about the condition of my place. Calls to the Property Management Company dont go thru, emails arent returned. Called 3 neighbors from there who summer in Mass and CT and they havent heard anything either.

FPL website was down yesterday, but today it tells me "crews are investigating"

Two of my daughters live in Orlando (one works for Disney)... they were on the second floor of an apartment building so flooding wasn't and issue and they live right next door to DisneyWorld so power was restored the next day.

So thankful for their safety and prayerful for those poor souls in the keys.

This morning was the 1st time that I can ever remember looking forward to an ice cold shower.

I think I did the same thing back in 2004 when we had 3 hurricanes back-to-back-to-back... but I've blocked that out of my memory somehow.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – During a time where a large number of Florida residents are without power in the wake of Hurricane Irma, two Florida men were caught attempting to steal a $2,500 utility pole.

42-year-old Blake Lee Waller and 46-year-old Victor Walter Apeler were arrested on grand theft charges Wednesday after someone reported seeing them load the pole onto the top of their car, according to the Jacksonville sheriff’s office.

A police report says that the two were spotted driving with the pole on top of their vehicle, they were then stopped by officials and arrested.

The report says that one of the men told officials that he had to move the pole because it was on the ground so close to traffic lanes, according to the Associated Press.

The sheriff’s office tweeted a picture of the shirtless men sitting handcuffed on the sidewalk next to the car carrying the utility pole.

A couple questions:
1] How did they get it on the roof of the car?
2] How can they be so stupid?

It's been coming back at a decent rate though my one friend is still without power. I dropped off more ice to him this morning.

The property management group that handles my community was here yesterday looking things over. I'm guessing that the real cleanup won't start for a couple of weeks.

I'm becoming so irritable because I still don't have power that everyone at my office are doing their best to completely avoid me.

I'm like a ticking time bomb.

Look at the bright side. It's hot enough that at least the water isn't freezing cold when you take a shower.

Oh yes it fucking is!

My whole body goes into shock when that freezing water hits me. It does cool me down after a long sweat filled night of piss poor sleep. It's like torture.... no.... it IS torture.

Update from O-Town...

I was just woke up from a dead sleep from the insane screaming roar of a chainsaw in my back yard. Random load revvvvvving... like a madman on a harley with no muffler. All my trees in the back yard are down.

My power is still fucking OFF. So I sweated out another night feeding my generator monster. Thanks to the unbearable humidity... I have a giant zit on my left cheek that looks like a tumor. I smell like ass and armpit hell mixed. The thought of taking another ice cold shower makes my smell seem just fine though.

I got totally twisted last night. It made things seem slightly better... and that's like a miracle. Now my head hurts.

Did I mention my tumor/zit?

Fucking Fuck

Your post made me think you are a Carl Hiaasen character LOL.

I'm still making daily drops of ice to my buddy who is also without power. I've offered to let him sleep here but I think it's going to be a day or two more of squalor until he relents.

Do you at least have fans?

This is almost unbelievable.

Our power was just restored.

We went a whole week without it.

Airconditioning is like heaven.

I was to the point of wanting to kill people an hour ago. I can't remember ever being so pissed. This was a tough one.
