3-36-1 as Brownies head coach. No matter the talent level, that is not enough wins. His winning percentage is 218th out of 219 coaches who have coached 40+ NFL games.
Jeff Fisher to the Browns?

Why the blue. That's actually likely to happen.

He's good at defense and assembling defensive talent.

If he gets a good OC to continue to develop Mayfield, they could get to that 7-9 level which for Cleveland fans would be a MASSIVE upgrade.

I'm surprised he crashed and burned. He did a really nice job with the Raiders years ago, but it seems like his problems are a lack of accountability and a huge ego.

My guess is they go after DeFillipo. Everyone saw what he did with Foles last year. He would be good for Baker.

He'll be a hot name this off-season. I'd go after him too. He's the only guy who could get anything out of Manziel. I think he's brilliant. He's one of those guys who can adapt to the strengths of his players.

I'll give you one guess who's 216th.

Haslem is the shittiest owner the NFL has, and might be the worst in all of pro sports in the USA.

He is a steaming pile of shit with hundred dollar bills ready to set fire to.......

Maybe the worst owner f an NFL team ever.

OK probably.

I think it’s quite possible. That’s 15 years, including a short period of time where the saints defense was the best in the league and the whole bounty thing hadn’t come out yet

And the dumbass old boys club LOL.......

The next HC in Cleveland inherits a lot of young talent.

Absolutely he will. That roster has a lot of key pieces to include a good young QB. This will be the first time Haslam's team actually has the best candidates lining up for the job.

Hue mismanaged the F out of that roster and everyone knows it. Dude was weak. What will be funny is if Williams gets that young roster to fire off a bit, which would not surprise me. Greg's not the right guy for the job, but if he wins it will confuse Haslam who is a maroon and might keep him around.

Let's hope that Haslem doesn't permanently give Williams the head coaching job, for everyone's sake.

If he did that, every team on their schedule would send Jimmy a Christmas card and a year of Harry and David assorted fruit baskets...

I, for one, have never been impressed with HJ.....at least as a head coach. This years Hard Knocks just affirmed that. Dude is all ego and bluster in front of his staff, yet does not hold players accountable. He came off as a total fan boy of his star players. It was emburrsin' to watch......

True John Eugene DeFilippo will be on everybody's short list and not sure the Browns will be his choice because of the history, but maybe Jimmy Haslam hires him because he was right, but DeFilippo will have choices as I suspect there will be many openings come 2019 and there are not enough hot coordinators to fill the vacancies and that is why I believe a couple of college Head Coaches could get opportunities.

He's been promoted and demoted a few times in his career for a reason..........he's not that good. He's well connected enough to get another job though I'd bet.

I wouldn't touch him.

Other than Jimmy Johnson I can't think of a HC coming from college straight to a HC position in the pros that has done well. None come to mind and if I notice it I'm sure NFL teams notice it too.

  1. Doug Marrone came from Syracuse to Buffalo & Jacksonville and has a winning record, albeit, he was an NFL Assistant too.
  2. Pete Carroll, reinvented himself at USC and then parlayed that into another opportunity in the NFL.
  3. Tom Coughlin, came right from Boston College to Jacksonville and then the New York Football Giants.
  4. Jim Harbaugh, did really well with the San Francisco 49ers coming from Stanford before moving on to his Alma-Mater.
In the past there were some successes like Bill Walsh (Stanford), John Robinson (USC), Don Coryell (San Diego State), and our very own Richard Albert "Dick" Vermeil. And the first man to do was Paul Brown, who came from Ohio State!
