...one of the following players at 13?
Rating system
1 - excited - "YES!"
2 - optimistic - "not who I wanted, but certainly a good player"
3 - meh - "meh"
4 - disappointed - "I hope McVay knows what he's doing "

A) Fano
B) Tyson
C) Lemon
D) Simpson
E) Sadiq

For me, Fano, Tyson, Lemon get a 1.5

Simpson gets 3.5

And I really don't know what to make of Sadiq - I wouldn't necessarily be disappointed, but I hope McVay knows what he's doing! Haha

I only want Lemon from that group.

I think he could take our offense to another level. His ability to find open spots underneath in the zone then come down with it in traffic.

Puka pocket as they call him.

The best move we could possibly make though, would be a move up for someone to roam the middle of the field on defense like Styles, Downs etc. or an impact player like Reese.

In other words? Hoping for Lemon (unlikely at this point; I believe he's WR#1), Tate, Bain, or McCoy, if we're sticking at #13. Tyson would be okay, (as in I could justify it with a lot of copium) Fano would be okay, Mauigoa would be okay, Delane would be meh (but justifiable with copium).

I would really hate Sadiq and Simpson, Sadiq especially. Sadiq doesn't even look like a tight end to me; just an athlete playing tight end.

I don't think the draft will go the way a lot are thinking. With the division we play in and matchup problems with some teams like TE McBride and of course McCaffery 3rd and medium is always tough to stop. I don't think Lake can really cover either of them. I'm starting to lean that we take either Downs or Thieneman in a possible trade down. I could see us trading back in the 1st and picking Thieneman while acquiring more draft capitol to go after Receivers later.

Who has actually watched Sadiq play all year? I am rating him a 1.5 or better. Kid knows how to play and is built tough. I am biased as I watch the Ducks play every year. But Sadiq carried the Ducks offense last year after they lost their WR1 most of the year. I mostly watched to see him play.

I expected Bowers/Warren production with Sadiq. No other receivers or running backs to take touches, an elite quarterback throwing him the ball, a good offensive line to protect the elite quarterback, and he still fell short of everything except touchdowns. He may have carried the Ducks offense, but I never saw him as that elite chess piece; he doesn't know the nuances of playing tight end (fails to find the soft spot in zones), had six backbreaking drops, and to me, he's a better Gerald Everett or a lesser Jordan Reed - and that's not what I want with drafting a tight end at #13.

It's tough for me... Because I don't think Lemon is worth the #13.. BUT... I also think that in this offense he can immediately contribute this year and take it to another level.

But I think there are other WR prospects that might have better long-term value to the team.

Sadiq carried the offense? He didn’t have a single 100 yard game
Had only a combined 70 yards receiving in 3 playoff games

You think the Rams paid him cause they like the sound of his voice?

Lemon would be a 1 for me, as he is definitely a plug-and-play guy who can make an early impact and would be a good fit for the offense.

Tyson I give a 1.5 only because of the injury concerns. If he stayed healthy, that's an easy 1 as well.

Don't know enough about Fano.

Simpson would be a 3 or 4 at 13. I doubt he'd make it to our pick in round 2, but I might be ok with it there. But if they are all in this year, their first pick has to be someone who can have immediate impact.

Sadiq would be a 3. Although he has off the charts athleticism and does have potential to develop into an impact player, I don't think he will be an impact player early, which we want this year.

Yep I thought of this exact thing. Thieneman roaming the middle which is our biggest weakness. We could maybe get him in a trade back.

I think Sadiq will likely become a solid player in the right place and I would certainly include us a a quality landing spot.
Like you mentioned and it has been said many different ways, the combine numbers haven't passed the on-field eye test nor the on field performance and stat numbers. I can't articulate exactly why is.

To me from that group Lemon is the likely biggest improvement to our team immediately.

Its looking more and more to me like the best move is to trade down to the 19-23 range, pick up a 2nd Day (or TWO Day 3) pick, and Draft either BPA (Thielemann?) or Cooper, or Simpson.

This, or the trade UP, sacrificing future Capital for the TRUE impact player ( Love, Reese, Styles, Downs) just not feelin pickin at 13 right now, value wise.
