OK then, that's fine. But I wasn't the only person in this thread that Interpreted your meaning that the Jets game wasn't that important and so play the game to avoid injury. Nobody here wants a Rams player injured, but IMO you can't play scared of it. This game vs the Jets is so important that it might give us a cushion against an unexpected loss vs. the Cards or Hawks. We are better than them, but doesn't always matter in a rivalry game. Hence, all gas, no bakes!

You always play to win.

Start the normal starters and then rest them if/when the game is in safe keeping. We can't take the Jets too lightly after yesterday's performance, where it looked like Rodgers and Adams were getting into the groove.
I agree. The only time rest players is when a win or a loss changes nothing.

Bearing in mind the break between playing Thursday night and then Sunday week, we should be going all out to beat the Jets with all our best players.

It will be almost impossible for us to play DC. They will be the 7 seed, we are not catching Philly.

Now here is the scenario id like.

1) Obviously win the West.

2) Minnesota wins the North.

Detroit comes to SoFi, and we beat em and Goff throws 3 picks under constant pressure from the Kids.
I wet my bed thinking of that scenario with Kirby Joseph being knocked out the game.

We seem to only win games that are must win, which means we lose this one.

Why make life easy on ourselves??!!

Ball control, let the big guys eat. Kyren and Blake both over 100
Yep, get Corum more involved, give Kyren a little more of a break. The bigger games are week's 17 & 18. Unless Seattle loses the next 2, the Cards & Hawks games are what matters.

Thinking we don't need to win at the Jets makes no sense. If we win our next two games and the hawks lose their next two then we are division champs. The last game against the hawks would mean nothing as far as the division is concerned.

Jets are terribly coached and that should benefit the Rams this week. However, the Rams have laid an egg in NY before when the jets were 0-13. So lets not pretend this is gonna be a cake walk. The rams have a tendency to play down to their competition. I'm not worried about the Jets I'm more worried about the Rams playing sloppy in a bad weather game. If the Rams play to their potential this game should be over in the 3rd quarter, if they let the Jets hang around there could be an upset. I wish we got the Jets earlier in the season but it is what it is.

Rams need to pound the rock and play physical. On Defense they need to bracket Adams and completely shut him down. He's not the player he once was even though he had a big day yesterday. However, I take that with a grain of salt as they were playing another 3 win team. The other thing is they need to trap Rodgers, while he doesn't have the wheels he once had, he can still definitely get out of the pocket and create problems, and that's where the rams have had the most issues this season. Contain Rodgers at all cost.

It looks to be sunny that day which is a good thing. Of course, weather could change by then.

Jets are dangerous because they arent smart enough to be tanking for a better draft pick.
Definitely a trap game

Pedal to the metal from here on out. Have to look at each game as a playoff contest.....because it is.
It isn't, though, is it?

We don't need to beat the Jets to win the division.

And it's not like there is no time to pick things up again with two super hard games after the Jets.

I'm playing Devil's Advocate, tbh.

If we win our next two and the hawks lose their next two then we win the division. It is absolutely an important game to win.
