But, are we the underdogs? What would you say the odds are Rams vs. Panthers? I'd say Panthers underdogs. Rams vs. Packers (Packers underdogs); Rams vs. Bears (Bears underdogs); Rams vs 9ers (9ers underdogs); Rams vs. Hawks (Hawks underdogs); Rams vs. Eagles (maybe Rams are the dogs here)

Looking at it that way, we ain't no underdogs!
We have lost to Panthers already, 9ers, Seattle, and Eagles. Bears beat Eagles, Hawks beat Panthers, 9ers too. 9ers beat Bears.

So we are +7 Dogs to Eagles and +1.5 Hawks.
+4.5 to Bears and +7 SF ( they are not the team to fuck with right now)
-7 Vs Car/ -7 Bucs only fav match up here that we are not Dogs. +6 vs GB we never beat them assholes.

Overall we are Dogs in this Playoff run. This is a long away Road ahead. Win the Fucking Super Bowl and prove we are not underdogs.

Reposting what I said in the Bears/Whiners thread:

In response to all the chatter about whether we should rest out starters for the next two weeks ... I personally think this team could use a "get back on track" type of game. We lost 2 of the last 4 games to nail biters against legit playoff teams. I think we should put boot to the throat tomorrow night and not let up until we have a 30 point lead in the 4th. Just keep the fucking pedal to the floor until the floor caves in and then keep doing it Flintstone style until Raheem Moris is calling McVay's cell phone from the opposite side line saying "I don't know what I did, but I'm really sorry bro."

Then and only then do the starters rest the final game. If the falcons don't get finished lile Sub-Zero from mortal combat then they play the following week until they end a quarter with at least a double digit lead...

Let's face it, if you can't keep your thumb on top of a team like the cardinals or falcons when you've already got em dead to rights then you don't need rest before the playoffs, you need practice .

Sure, if a dude has been dealing with a nagging injury for awhile then rest him....but don't go into the playoffs on anything other than the highest note possible.

Sean is probably gonna do his usual "rest starters" routine. But does he not realize that the difference between playing at Philadelphia/Chicago vs playing at Carolina/Tampa Bay is HUMONGOUS???!!!

Also, like Tano said, getting the 5 seed can get you a Home 2nd Round game in a Playoff season with "live" 6 and 7's.

I would think McVay would want to potentially have a home playoff game at some point. I have to believe he'll play all available starters the next two games. A loss tonight could be devastating. I hope our Defense goes into playoff mode starting tonight and we obliterate the falcons on national TV. We'll know who won the NFC West before we take the field against the cards next Sunday. We can send either the whiners or hawks to the 6th seed and a date in Philly the following week. I don't see McVay resting any starters. Very unlikely either the hawks or whiners beat Philly in Philly so they can eliminate one of those teams for us. That's our best path at this point. Of course if Philly ends up the 2nd seed they host the pack, then the hawks or 9ers head to the bears.
Philly beats the pack, either the hawks or 9ers will beat the bears, we beat the Bucs/panthers. We would go to Philly and the 9ers/hawks square off. If we beat Philly we could potentially host the Championship Game.

I really hate going into this as if we are the underdogs.
McVay doesn’t. His teams seem to be better when we’re not in the limelight.

That said, I really hope McVay is practical about the seeding here. The 5 seed is dramatically better than the 6 seed, and there’s a good chance that, if we are the 5 seed, that SF/Seattle wins their wildcard matchup and we’d be able to potentially host a playoff game.

I really hope McVay is conscious of this and considers it important. This would be the one time I disagree with not caring about the last few games. We need to win them both for seeding and momentum.

If my understanding is correct,
Seattle wins next week, Rams need to win both games to get 5 seed
San Fran wins next week, Rams only need to win next week to get 5 seed

I am officially over the "woulda coulda shouldas" - - and the "What if THIS and the what if THATS"

This team can "find a way to lose" in Philly/Chicago just as easily as they can in Tampa/Charlotte.
Conversely, if they put 4 good quarters of football on the field with a healthy team they can curb stomp whoever they play - doesn't matter the 'when' - doesn't matter the 'where'.

My vote is go out as champions and beat the motherfucker lined up in front of you when the new regular season starts in 3 weeks.

Rest everyone these last 2 exhibition games.
Develop your depth.
Get Healthy for the upcoming post season gauntlet at all costs.
This is Chess not Checkers.
This is a marathon not a sprint.

Go Rams.

Actually the Rams need to win out to get the 5 seed, either way. Because Seattle and San Fran both won yesterday. But if the Rams win out, they have the 5 seed no matter what.

Rams can get 5 speed by winning out or Seattle beating Niners and Rams beating Arizona (Rams go 1-1)

This isn’t even a debate. The NFC South teams start good.
