No, I do not want this, but facts are facts. Donald-Suh-Brockers are a danger to opposing QB's. D'Marco Farr said something like this will be the first time since maybe the 1970's Pittsburgh Steelers, Steel Curtain, that a Dline will occupy all 5 opposing linemen on almost every play. LBers may be coming in unblocked straight at the QB.

The one NFC West starting QB that I worry about, is Sam Bradford. We know he's a fragile guy anyway, but I want our guys to knock the stuffing out of him where he keeps looking fearfully behind himself a couple of days AFTER a Card vs Rams game. Yet, I don't want him injured again. Can it be avoided, however? The one QB sack I saw Michael Brockers do (I forget the QB's name) which was like running into a brick wall for him, was called a penalty (I still have no clue why the tackle was a penalty). We know of Suh and Donald, and what nightmares they are for opposing QB's. Seriously Sam, take two games off this year...

RW is a tough little bugger, so I think he will survive (maybe).

Jimmy G...lol..Dude, you're gonna get tested unlike you have never been......

Visiting QB's, welcome to the jungle.....

Rams DL and LB's are going to rack up sacks. And that was against the Bears When Brockers got flagged for a clean hit, which has me worried. Will officials be throwing more flags on the Rams because they are trying harder to protect QB's?

We already have a bit of a reputation of being a team that causes injuries, I don't like it.

If injuries happen on clean hits, so be it, it's a risk of the game, but I hope for nothing vicious or intentionally dangerous from our players.

Our D-line is formidable, well looks like it on paper anyhow. Donald, Brockers & Suh - each of them can give opposing QB's nightmares - I just want the sack count to be high, I don't want our reputation to be muddied by injured QBs, now I know you weren't advocating that at all @LoyalRam - but I want us to be feared for not giving the QB any time, for stopping the run and for creating turnovers so that I can see our O fly again this year.

I do worry though. Rightly or wrongly, Suh is a marked man by officials. The Rams D have been a marked unit by officials - with crazy penalty / foul calls against good play. Suh on the Rams D? I hope that the penalty count against the Rams D is low. I don't want to see us giving up 100+ yards in penalties per game this season. There's nothing that stutters a game engine worse than giving away penalties.

We don't really know how many QBs will get knocked out. But, we do know all three of our D-lineman will be playing like #33 of Ridgemont High!

Knocking QBs out of a game used to be the mark of a good defense. Now they want you to feel bad about it.

If Jared Goff gets injured, don't expect the other team to apologize for that.

If it's a clean hit on Goff, so be it. It's football. However, I like our chances with our Oline providing the time for the
Goff-inator.

I'm still concerned with the edge rush, but even with that I have to think this front is going to rack up an elite sack total. They'll get pressure up the middle for sure with Suh in there, question for me is moreso the run defense.

But yeah either way I hope they effin ABUSE the NFC West QBs. They have a special relationship already with Wilson, and hopefully that extends to Jimmy G and Rosen.

We had a dirty rep period under Fish. Not that it bothered me, for the record I actually enjoyed fans of other teams whining about it. But I think that has changed in the year since under the current regime.

The thing is that opponents don’t just have to worry about our formidable DL, anymore.

The Ram D is loaded with elite or near-elite players almost everywhere. All directed by an elite DC.

THAT is a prescription for opposing QB woe, fellas. Constant pick your poison stress on every snap.

I see multiple ripple effects working in Rams favor:

More turnovers created.
Fewer (and shorter) opposing O snaps and possessions.
More Ram sacks.
More Ram tfl’s.
More Ram D turnovers/scores.
Frustrated opposing O’s that can’t run OR pass well, forcing increased risk taking.
Rams dominating TOP stats.
More Ram runs while playing with big leads.
More Ram scoring, probably well over 500 points.
A beautiful synergy wherein Ram D makes Ram O more deadly, and vice versa.

Barring key injuries, I see Rams with a very rare combo of elite O, elite D, and elite ST in one season.

What does that add up to? Dare I say it? Yep, SB is now a realistic goal, y’all.

Last time we saw such a combo was during the GSOT days. And I suspect that the current D and ST are superior to those squads, tbh.

Ummmmm.... Where in the hell did I set my kool-aid? Lol.

Don't want to see any player, even an opposing qb, knocked out. But it's ok if they are intimidated into making bad plays. I think most qbs will honestly be terrified of playing the Rams, and this will be more than sufficient to take them out of their game.

I don't want to see anybody badly hurt. I do want the opposing QBs to be intimidated, and for them to need extra long stints in the whirlpool after the game - and not just so they don't need to answer questions about all their turnovers in the game. Although for that, too.

Basically, I want them to worry more about what the Rams D will do to them than about what they can do offensively.

I'll settle for 1.

I hope they hit Tom Brady so hard in the Super Bowl that he wakes up thinking he's Giselle.

Oh wait

Rams have knocked out more than a few over the last few years - Carson Palmer, Carson Wenz, Big Ben, Teddy Bridgewater come to mind. I think it would be better to keep the QBs in the game but so shell shocked they are ready to call uncle (see Russell Wilson Week 15 last year). Nothing against the person but everything against the hype - I especially want Jimmy G-String shell shocked by the 3rd quarter for both games.
