This isn't Madden. We won't be lining Donald, Suh and Brockers a ton in pass rushing situations. Base defense sure. Maybe even some nickel but not much. Brockers will most likely leave the field for a faster and more agile edge rusher when not in base. Sure, Donald and Suh will do well in pass rushing situations but we still need edge rushers to be dominate.

Mind you, we don't need dominate edge rushers but we need above average ones. You could make the argument that Longacre before his injury was proving to be above average but we won't know how he comes back from the back injury until he plays. Lots unproven after him.

We're going to be good, we need some help from emergent edge rushers to be dominate.

The thing is that opponents don’t just have to worry about our formidable DL, anymore.

The Ram D is loaded with elite or near-elite players almost everywhere. All directed by an elite DC.

THAT is a prescription for opposing QB woe, fellas. Constant pick your poison stress on every snap.

I see multiple ripple effects working in Rams favor:

More turnovers created.
Fewer (and shorter) opposing O snaps and possessions.
More Ram sacks.
More Ram tfl’s.
More Ram D turnovers/scores.
Frustrated opposing O’s that can’t run OR pass well, forcing increased risk taking.
Rams dominating TOP stats.
More Ram runs while playing with big leads.
More Ram scoring, probably well over 500 points.
A beautiful synergy wherein Ram D makes Ram O more deadly, and vice versa.

Barring key injuries, I see Rams with a very rare combo of elite O, elite D, and elite ST in one season.

What does that add up to? Dare I say it? Yep, SB is now a realistic goal, y’all.

Last time we saw such a combo was during the GSOT days. And I suspect that the current D and ST are superior to those squads, tbh.

Ummmmm.... Where in the hell did I set my kool-aid? Lol.
If you wrote that 5 years ago, people would of thought you were nuts! How times have changed!

We already have a bit of a reputation of being a team that causes injuries, I don't like it.

If injuries happen on clean hits, so be it, it's a risk of the game, but I hope for nothing vicious or intentionally dangerous from our players.
That went away with Fisher and greg

We had a dirty rep period under Fish. Not that it bothered me, for the record I actually enjoyed fans of other teams whining about it. But I think that has changed in the year since under the current regime.
That rep hasn't changed from the perspective of Cardinals fans. I think the Rams have roughed up every QB they've had since 2012. The list is long.

Thing is, what those crying Tard fans don't understand is that the strength of the Rams(DLine) has been matched up against the glaring weakness of theirs(OLine) for many years now. That's what happens when you show up to a gunfight with a squirt gun. People get hurt.

don't know how many we will injure because I don't know how durable of the back up qb are. but I do think at least 1 qb will retire out of fear the week before we play them

Dude...I was at last years zona game when the Rams rolled into town. Those card fans were not crying. They walked out so defeated, like they've given up! They were silent, looking like zombies from The Walking Dead!

The Rams will be intimidating quarterbacks and could knock out a couple. All three D Lineman have size and strength to give a pounding to opposing QBs. Could be the Lbers/Edge rushers that get the big hits as the big three will free them up more this year. It's exciting to see what Wade does with the pass rush. He mention Littleton as a good pass rusher in his last presser which should mean some creative pass rushes from Wade and the Rams this year. With better cover corners Rams could blitz more and from all directions.
