Honestly think MLB would make way more with parity but it is what it is. Hopefully players look at the long term but I get why a lot would look to get paid now if they can. Be nice for other fans to actually feel like their team has a chance.
Well, the Dodgers are on a 6 game losing streak. So who knows? :sunglasses:

Here's another way to look at it. This year's Rams on paper (without Donald) seem to be one of the best constructed teams "ever" to start out the season. Except for the GSOT, what other team...any team, ever seemed as stacked and ready to win it all at the start of the season then this current Rams team? I can't think of any. So, at the moment I am feeling like the Rams are 100% going to win the Super Bowl this season, and only MS9 going down to season ending injury would ruin it. That's a pretty strong way to start the season off.
Yeah and it's not like the '99 team was viewed at the time as a slam dunk contender. You had a Rams fan base that shit our pants when Trent Green went down, and then we got all crazy behind a nobody QB. Other than Rams fans I don't think anyone was high on us.

This year's roster deserves the accolades. It is excellent across the board. This time last year we knew we had a good team but we also knew our secondary was flawed. Secondary this year is a complete turnaround and that's even if they're just good not great. If they're great stand the fuck by NFL.

I can't wait for Rams football. Ordered the classic sol (#95) and the Blue (#9). Said they're shipping the end of August, just in time!!!

Correct. Being the favorites means nothing. Almost like that saying, "everybody's got a plan until they're punched in the mouth!!!"

What are the odds for 17-0? Gotta be 1,000 to 1, no? That'd be a nice bet if you had some disposable income.
I don't see a McVay coached team ever going 17-0. If they won their first 16 then they clinched top seed going into the final game. McVay would probably sit his starters because its always been his M.O. I just don't think he's willing to risk injury to any of his key players in a game that has no bearing in the standings.

I remember thinking we're gonna have a better team with Trent Green and Marshall Faulk. But I never considered a Superbowl team. Then Green goes down and I'm thinking here we go again. Another losing season coming up. A month later I'm asking myself "Is this team legit?" It sure was. Even after earning top seed a part of me was skeptical because of the easy schedule. But when Kurt threw that TD pass to Ike on the first play after falling behind 3-0 I knew we had something special.

I have that issue, the actual one, sitting in my nightstand next to my bed. Somehow I have managed to keep it, and in really good condition, all these years. I love it...such a cool cover!

And THAT would be wrong IMHO.

Always hated that the Colts cashed in their chips at 14-0 in 2009 and folded. SO glad they lost that Super Bowl so it didnt reward stupid behavior.

If you have the chance at a perfect regular season record you GO for it.

At the risk of an injury costing a Super Bowl? Rest them boys McVay!!!

I couldn't care less what the Colts did. Or the Patriots. But if the Rams have clinched the 1 seed and are undefeated, rest them boys.
I'm sure McVay agrees with you. I suspect he'd rest the boys for 3 straight weeks if he wrapped up the 1 seed that early.
