Who is celebrating what? Seriuos question.
Not me. I've been a fan since the late 60's and have witnessed 2 Rams Championships. I know how fucking hard it is to win the Super Bowl!!! But I gotta say, I allow myself to get excited, when it is warranted. This is one of those times. And if they win it all, nobody will be more excited and appreciative than I.

2 in 60 years.

I don't see anyone celebrating. It actually makes me a bit queasy with all the pundits saying its our SB to lose.
Usually I’d be nervous, but this is a mature team who made the nfcc and the vets they brought are from championship pedigree, minus Garrett. These guys won’t get carried away, mcvay wouldn’t allow it.

It's gonna be like 2000 & 2001, where if the Rams win a game by 7 points or less the talk will be, "Hey, whats wrong with the Rams! They must not be that good."

That was annoying.

Here's another way to look at it. This year's Rams on paper (without Donald) seem to be one of the best constructed teams "ever" to start out the season. Except for the GSOT, what other team...any team, ever seemed as stacked and ready to win it all at the start of the season then this current Rams team? I can't think of any. So, at the moment I am feeling like the Rams are 100% going to win the Super Bowl this season, and only MS9 going down to season ending injury would ruin it. That's a pretty strong way to start the season off.

All the bragging about this team having a dominant D - especially if AD comes back - and your going to throw up your hands and give up if Stafford goes down?
Nope. Gonna hope it never comes to that.

Didn't the Rams end up third in the division? So do we not have an easier schedules than the Seahawks and 49ers?

Tied for 2nd with San Francisco at 12-5 but the Rams had the higher-seed (5th to the Niners 6th) based on a tie-breaker. So the Rams have the 2nd place schedule; and the Niners the 3rd place schedule.

The Seahawks, Rams and 49ers have the same opponents with three exceptions.

The NFC West plays the AFC East, NFC North and NFC South ... one game each.

Seattle gets the 1st place teams (New England, Chicago and Carolina),

Rams get the 2nd place teams (Buffalo, Green Bay and Tampa),

49ers get the 3rd place teams (Miami, Minnesota and Atlanta)

Contrary to popular belief its not just about spending money. If that were the case the Blue Jays and Mets would not be at the bottom of their divisions. The Phillies would be a lot better than 4 games over .500.

It takes more than spending money to have a successful franchise. It takes good management like the Rams and Dodgers have. Know where the smart money is spent.

I'm pretty sure fans of teams not named the Dodgers would be thrilled if their team's owner would spend more. But that guarantees nothing.
I'm not sure I truly jive with that because the MLB simply needs a salary cap with an agreement that teams spend a certain amount of the salary cap every year. To me, baseball is such a shitty sport due to the unevenness of it. Of course fans from the richer teams that benefit will enjoy that but I find it to be similar to a billionaire flexing their car collection vs one of us average joes. To each their own but to me baseball simply is whack because of that.

Oof,
Buffalo > NE
Green Bay > Chicago

Only thing Carolina > Tampa Bay
SF definitely has the easer schedule.

But really is a toss up.

Some fans don't like that. They'd prefer an under the radar approach.
I am just spitballin but, maybe it's perceived as added pressure,
to be the favorite.

Of course McVay could throw first two games. that would destroy the favorite label.

Me? I just want to watch some Rams football.

I'm excited as well. I honestly don't buy into the favorites thing because its a long season, too many variables. We look like we'll field a great team and hopefully it translates to that on the field. Should win vs actually winning is obviously a huge difference. Can't wait to see this team play.

in 24 when the Rams were 1 and 4 I put 100 down that the Rams would win the Division. Seems the Rams coming out of the gate similarly is the only way I will be able to bet on them this year. I hope that doesn't happen. Wire to wire would be my hope. I wonder if I could get odds on that.

I can't wait for Rams football. Ordered the classic sol (#95) and the Blue (#9). Said they're shipping the end of August, just in time!!!

Correct. Being the favorites means nothing. Almost like that saying, "everybody's got a plan until they're punched in the mouth!!!"

What are the odds for 17-0? Gotta be 1,000 to 1, no? That'd be a nice bet if you had some disposable income.

While the odds might be enticing, The fact that I think the Rams would be more likely to rest players if they were 15 or 16 and 0 won't let me do it.

Being a Dodger fan I'm enjoying the success because they have ownership with not only the resources to build a championship team, they also have the willingness to do what it takes.

With that said, I do agree there should be some sort of salary cap. I don't know if the players will go for it. But I doubt they would without a floor. And there might be some owners who don't want a floor. Last report had the owners proposing a hard cap at 245 million and a floor at 171 million. About half the teams right now are at or below that floor. I seriously doubt the players would accept a hard cap like that. Which makes a lockout an almost certainty.

Honestly think MLB would make way more with parity but it is what it is. Hopefully players look at the long term but I get why a lot would look to get paid now if they can. Be nice for other fans to actually feel like their team has a chance.
