This team has played better with OBJ than Woods.

I will eat my mouse if OBJ returns. No cap space. Too many other needs. It is not happening.

I hope that's a stuffed mouse and not a real one or the plastic variety because the 3 amigos will rule the league thru 2023

They can do extensions.
Absolutely but all the players I mentioned are already signed through age-30-plus.

You extend them, and it pushes guaranteed-$ into seasons when they may be past their prime.

Yep.
I think they have to. You’ve got your Stafford/Donald/Kupp window right now. You do what you need to keep it open for 3 more years, imo.

It’s give-and-take OBJ gotta be willing to take a haircut to stay where he’s happy.

Throw the sportrac numbers out the window along with the cap, bonuses, extensions, and whatever you think you know about contracts, the Rams already know they want Woods, kupp and obj back next year and this will be the rams saying to the rest of the league, as in prison, oh, this happenning.

I hope you're not speaking from experience.

LA is a great fit for OBJ, but he can keep his hometown without the discount. I expect the Chargers will make a play for him. They have almost $60m of cap space in 2022.

I hate all of this...

Thoroughly disagree with how OBJ changes this offense for the better. Newsflash: OBJ and Woods are NOT interchangeable. They do different things which is why this team would be even scarier with Kupp, Woods and OBJ.

Here's the thing... next season, Kupp's gonna have a MASSIVE TARGET on his back and Woods is necessary to provide an alternative to Kupp whereas mostly we're using OBJ in one on one situations.

Von Miller has led the Rams in sacks the past 6 games and has been a huge upgrade not just in pressures and sacks, but also in CONTAIN!!!

I don't even want to get rid of Reeder, just use him better and only what he's good at.

But no team wins a Super Bowl and then gets rid of a substantial portion of their talent and comes close to repeating.

Sorry, but all of that take would make us significantly worse.
Oh have we forgotten the importance of Woods... is the best blocking WR on the team, OBJ, not so much. Woods is actually part of the run offense, ever notice we don't run alot of misdirection runs with the WR like we used too?? woods was the best wr we had at turning screen catches into yards. Didn't you notice the noticeable offensive drop in production when he got hurt? Our offense has changed with the loss of woods. Not saying OBJ, isn't making a difference but long term, Woods is the better fit. Now as for Miller, idk if he was hurt for half the season but I remember he went like 8 games or something like that without a sack. He isn't a cover guy, and he lines up so far outside he takes himself out of plays (we'll actually I haven't seen too much of that lately to be fair).
And Reeder??? what have you seen that he does well? He can't cover, he gets dragged around the field for just about every solo tackle he makes, IF he makes it. He is WEAK at the point of attack.
A linebacker is suppose to deliver a hit not GET hit and ran over. I've seen him not be able to hold up a RB on the goal line consistently. Dude, a 9ers wr drug him for a first down. It was 3rd down he wrapped up the wr about 2yds behind the line and he was dragged for 3yds. Smh he has been doin this since he has been in the league. My kids even know when 51 makes a bad play and they are 13 and 11yrs old. You have an argument about OBJ and Miller but REEDER??? HELL NAWWW!!!

By the way… has anyone acknowledged that OBJ may very well be THE difference for the Rams?

If he goes to the Packers.. he helps Adams & Rogers and I doubt the Pack loses to SF.

I'm still in the camp that we keep him, Woods, and Kupp all together for at least another season.

I don't pretend to know the cap issues but I have watched the Rams FO perform supposed miracles.

I think they can do it if OBJ wants to stay. Expect they will try to extend kupp and stafford a little below market value and restructure woods. I'd love to see the three of them suited up in the same games next season, but there are a lot of competing priorities.

Hey, we really like having you here. How about signing for 5 million a year? We know you are worth way more than that, but with the cap - this will allow us to re-sign Von, keep the rest of the core in tact, bring in some new depth, and we can go on one of those dynasty runs. Lets fill those fingers with rings.

I don't think there's any way he stays for $5 mil.
I think $10 is the sweet spot.. up to $12 with the rising cap... acknowledges both his value and his compromise. He's made a lot of money already, but probably has at least 3 more good years in him.

Oh, I know. 5 is ridiculously low. Robert Woods makes more than 15 a year.

Too funny
A "discount" would be about 18 mill, he'll probably get 20+ with a nice signing bonus

I don’t think so, at this point.

We’ll see, won’t we!

Yeah, I agree, 20 mil plus a signing bonus will be a desperate team with alot of money and probably because they suck and why would obj want to to do that.

he's not a number one and a big part of his current resurgence is due to kupp, stafford and mcvay. He knows that. He's perfect where he is for less money but more winning.
