Well, you kinda can. Sando's just listing records against playoff teams. I'd be more than willing to accept his findings had they lost last week against Washington.

But that changes the percentages of how did your team do against playoff teams when you didn't make the playoffs. Houston becomes 3-4 (below the Rams), and both the Packers and Ravens were only 2-4. That in itself is revealing.
