Every bobble head in the nation talked smack about our Oline and chastised Mr Snead for not
addressing in the draft. Now we have have one of the better olines in the league.
If you saw @Merlin s cut ups of our guys at work, you know it doesn't get much
better than some these holes they are opening up.

They laughed at us for acquiring That "Bust" Corbett from Cleveland.
When are these idiots gonna understand that Snead, Mcvay and Kromer know what the hell they're doing??
And that The Rams are gonna be winning for years to come!

Here's to the Boy's in the Trenches. Give'em Hell!!! Go Rams!!!

Yea DZ , but I bet it's some of the best crow you have ever eaten.
Every single one of us miss on players and stuff.
Don't think the crow is even necessary , because you can't help
your heart bleeds blue and gold, if it didn't you wouldn't have
been worried about it. Let's just enjoy it, cause The Rams ain't
going nowhere as long as Snead and Mcvay are in charged.
the rest of the league is just gonna have to deal with it!! :fistbump: Go Rams!!

I can’t wait until we find a good (not great) edge rusher and our damn secondary gels. Id love for that to happen in the next couple of weeks to help smack down the 69ers but I believe it will take at least until after the bye week. Which could be when we have Robinson to plug in as well.

I think Edwards is going to be what Saffold was to us I definitely see improvement on the run. But I commend Kromer for his overall work thus far.

Rams are bucking the trend with heavy dose of ground game on early downs

Last season, no quarterback in the NFL threw more passes than Jared Goff’s 626. The Rams turned into a pass-heavy offense that lacked efficiency and balance. This year, it’s the ground game that’s pacing the league.
Through three weeks, the Rams have an NFL-high 111 rush attempts, the third-most rushing yards (511) and the second-most rushing touchdowns (6). By just about every measure, the rushing attack led by Darrell Henderson, Malcolm Brown and Cam Akers is humming and doing an excellent job.

And it’s why Sean McVay feels so comfortable running the ball as often as the Rams have on first and second down. In fact, no team in the NFL runs the ball on early downs more frequently than Los Angeles.
Check out the following chart, which shows early-down pass frequency for each team. The Rams rank last, throwing the ball about 42% of the time. By comparison, the Chiefs are No. 1 with a pass rate on first and second down of more than 60%.

One thing you’ll notice about the graph is that many of the NFL’s best offenses are at the top with heavy pass frequency on first and second downs. The Cowboys, Packers, Bills and Chiefs all rank in the top five in total yards this season, while the Seahawks rank fourth in yards per play.
The Rams are second in yards per play and third in total yards, but they’re at the bottom of Ben Baldwin’s chart showing early-down pass frequency. That’s a rarity and also a testament to the effectiveness of the Rams’ ground game.
The running backs’ ability to pick up 4 or 5 yards on first down has been huge, keeping the Rams ahead of the sticks and making third down easier to handle. That’s certainly not lost on McVay.
“I mean, it’s big. I think the ability to be efficient on those early downs keeps us in third-and-manageables. I think that’s been a result of why we’ve been a little bit better on third downs,” McVay said last week. “So, a long way to go, but I think the first two weeks have been reflective of some things that we’ve wanted to focus on and being able to get a bunch of carries off is good because it means you’re able to control some of the possession as well, which I think has been good for our team.”
Keeping up this pace of running the ball so often on first and second down is going to be difficult, especially if the efficiency falls off as the season wears on. Right now, the Rams are averaging 6.5 yards per play on first and second down, which is tops in the NFL. But if they continue to run the ball as often as they have, that average could slip a bit, just based on the fact that teams average more yards per attempt throwing the ball than they do running it.
For now, there’s little reason to change their approach on offense because things are working to near-perfection.

Man, I fucking love this. It shows that McVay is willing to adapt, that he's willing to take a good hard look at himself and change what's not working. And the Rams STILL have all of these pass catching weapons, the effectiveness of whom will be enhanced by a solid ground game. Yeah, baby!!!

I am so stoked! Not in my wildest dreams would we return to run blocking and running game domination. Edwards seemed to complete the puzzle up front. I even feel like we have depth, with Evans and Boom waiting in the wings.

Hopefully a lot of the D decline will be fixable....

Don’t just say national media talking heads. Most everybody around here was calling for Snead and Kroger’s head for not drafting an OLine. Every pick that went by their anger grew and grew around here. I was posting info on each pick and one of the first few posts every time was how come it wasn’t player X on the oline.

The Rams O-line has been the difference this year. Kudos to McVay, Kromer, and Snead. Blythe is a better center than guard (and healthy), Corbett and Edwards have grown significantly this year, 38 year-old Whit has not lost anything, and Hav is healthy again. We couldn't have gotten a better O-line than this. And Boom (maybe at tackle), and Evans provide good depth. I'm sure the Rams will draft another O-lineman early next year.

I try not to call any of our Rod brothers out, because unlike the media, Their heart is in the right place.
I will say this, they could save themselves a lot of heartache if they would just put a little faith
in our coaching staff and front office.

One of the things that keeps me relaxed is that I know our HC is young and he is going hit some bumps
in the road, but everything about this man wreaks of Winner.
He checks all the boxes in the checklist of how to become not a good head coach, but a great one.
Just sit back and enjoy his development, because he and Goff are on their way.
JMHO and i'm sticking to it!

No, you never eat crow straight up. It doesn't go down easily, what, with the beak and the feathers and talons.
