Rams are last at #32 in terms of $ spent on defense. Rams only spent 44M on defense, by far the lowest. At #31 is KC, who spent 75M.

Stafford's 46M cap hit is larger than every player on D combined.

Add some elite vets to this D next year and look out. Amazing what Shula has produced with a bunch of rookies.

I think that number with KC at 31 is for 2025 the list I saw had the Panthers 31st with $68 million IIRC. Still amazing what he's done AD's cap hit this year in retirement is $23.8 million the defense overall is at $39.5 million.

Heard Darnold this morning taking credit for the loss, "I gotta play better, take better care of the ball, get it out faster, etc." which sounded all humble but at the end he tacked on "i give (the Rams) a lot of credit for how they played and the plan that they had."
It's a NO BRAINER that when a QB faces inordinate pressure, you give him quick-outs, WR screens, quick slants, etc. that he can hit if he's facing too much pressure. McVay does this regularly for 9, not sure why KO'C didn't get the memo that we'd probably do to them the same thing the Lions did.
Darnold has consistently struggled throughout his career in the quick game. His strengths have always been downfield passing.

The genius of KO was that he was able to hide those struggles with a great downfield attack, ensuring that JJ was the answer on some quick hitters, 12 and 21 personnel a lot and a top 10 in efficiency ground game.

Additionally, what little quick game they had, the timing gets mucked if you can bump the receivers which we did a lot last night.

Great game for us Ram fans but I have a question. Most of the sacks took a long time to get there. That means the receivers were well-covered... right? Why isn't the secondary getting more love? It seems like the sacks are all the media talks about.
The secondary has been balling lately.
