Lol with no threat in a running game and no Gurley pass protecting. I don’t see how the first part of your sentence even happens
And the biggest of all no oline to open holes or protect. Signing Blythe and Whit are nothing special and no different than last year and our oline sucked last year. How are we inproving the 31st ranked offense with a one year older LT and an underachiever in Blythe really. I don't see it. Now as of today we have no #1rb and may need to use our 2nd rounder on one which probably will be the 3rd or 4th best RB in a okay class.

Yeah. The way I see it, they went all-in a couple years ago and almost accomplished what they set out to do. Now it's just time to reload.
That's the way I see it. They took a swing for the ring and it almost paid off. Injuries to players like Gurley and Cooks are unpredictable and happen, can't really blame anyone for that. Without the injury, Gurley would still be considered a very valuable asset. The Rams have been looking hard at RBs in the draft, so this isn't really a big surprise.
If Cooks avoids the concussions, he is still a very good WR.
Littleton was an undrafted player and blossomed into a big contract, perhaps a young player on the roster makes the same progress. Fowler was an under performing high draft pick that took a big leap here. Maybe Floyd or Robinson step up in the same manner.
Matthews was always a stop gap player and was never planned to be here very long. People get blinded by the sacks and fail to recognize the liability in the running game.
To me, it looks like the Rams are changing direction and not really rebuilding. Hiring new coaches and changing personnel to fit the scheme is more retooling than rebuilding. We got gashed big time on run defense last year and we have signed players to help in that area. Since our biggest division rivals are running teams, we needed to get stronger in that area. The Rams have seen these changes coming for a long time and probably have a solid pan laid out. There is a lot of time left before the season starts, plenty of time to fill needs. I will just wait awhile before waving the white flag.

Exactly just wasting our precious draft capital on running backs that’s not gonna get used. I really hope we don’t draft another running back

We all felt like this when we traded Quinn and didn't have Talib or Peters yet. At least we got something for Quinn tho...

I wish we figured out our core originally instead of losing draft picks and trying to get out of contracts 1 or 2 years later.

These new uniforms better be good too!! That would be another slap in the face.

The plan is if it ain’t working fix it -or- at least attempt to. I just rewatched Rams Vs Bucs from last year. Lots of issues on both sides of the line in that game but on defense the Rams pass defense was one of the worst showing in all NFL games last year. Talib showed his age and declined skills and Peters was just plain lost. It wasn’t working so it was changed. For me Peters on defense was my biggest beef against any player on the Rams last year.

Can’t believe how OPTIMISTIC I was at this time last year for the future of the RAMS and how PESSIMISTIC I am now!!! I hope McVay and Snead have a PLAN and totally makes me ashamed of myself for having any doubts in what they are doing!!!
There is always a plan.
Sometimes they work....bringing in Whitworth and Sullivan to stabilize the line....

And sometimes they don’t.....
Bringing in Noteboom and Allen to replace Whitworth and Sullivan.....

I have zero doubt there is a plan.
Plans have to work to keep coaches and GMs from becoming ex coaches and ex GMs.

Given the way the D got clobbered by the Ravens, Cowboys and of all teams, the Bucs, and finished 31st against the run, there damn well better be some serious turnover.

Rams are actively addressing all the issues that kept this team from the playoffs in 2019

Despite the disappointment with Gurley I like all the moves so far

Well I wanna wait till after the draft before I agree with that statement the only move I’m a little iffy on is the money that was given to Floyd but otherwise it’s still work to be done for the offensive line and I don’t see a running back on the roster able to give us the touchdown production or the pass blocking that Gurley has but it is still early in the offseason..

What's going on right now is very troubling . Lost a lot of talent so far and lots of holes to fill . Starting to lose faith in the higher ups .
I said it last year after watching Gurley off to himself all day in Pittsburgh , that there is something more going on behind the scenes .
Two years ago a team built for the long haul looks like the 4th best team in their division. JMHO

I guarantee the Rams have a plan. Will the plan work? That is the question.

Stay calm. We‘lol get another RB from somewhere and don't be surprised another piece may be added in FA. We have drafted pretty good lately so......................
