I knew as soon as I read "heard a cowboy fan" it was going to be something stupid.
Kind of like the old thing about how you know a woman is going to say something brilliant. It starts with, "My husband once told me...." :D

Bad? Bad? How about pop warner status football! It was disgusting to watch in person!
Yeah. I feel for you man. That was the one game last season I can honestly say I was simple pissed off at every aspect of our game. I can't imagine sitting through that BS live in Dallas. Reminds me of the 28-0 opening day loss up in Seattle. At least in that game we did a few things right. But live - it was brutal.

OK. As much as there is a lot of slamming going on here, this thread is hilarious. Good to see everyone taking and giving a good ribbing.

I'd hate to go that game worse than a Cowturd game and lose like that. The Dallas fans actually weren't that bad aside from my 8-9 Cowboy friends i went with lol

I didn't say Tony Romo is the whole problem for that team. Lord knows theres o-line issues, play calling, no defense now, and a dysfunctional GM.

But to act like Romo hasn't been a big contributor is where I disagree. There are many of times and plays (like fumbling the Field goal for the win with playoffs on the line) where he flat out chokes - like making an ill advised pass that Revis picked off and took it back for 6 for the win - at/near the end of the game too. And there are many more plays like it.

That's why he has so much notoriety

Brett Favre has done that countless times and he's basically a HoFer and praised b/c of that. (I'm talking about on field play, his off field drama aside).

Tony Romo is unfairly bashed while someone like Colin Kaeperwhatever is praised b/c of the team he's playing on.

Favre also has a ring and when you think of someone getting "favre'd" like the niners were, its apositive thing. Getting romo'd usually means the other team won, especially in december and the playoffs... 2 other places where favre has been great, and romo has choked

I'm in the boat of just b/c you have a Super Bowl ring doesn't mean you are the greatest or even that good. It just means a lot of things went right for your team.

My point w/ the Brett Favre comparison is he cost his team a lot with his boneheaded plays, the king of INT. Meanwhile Tony is hated on. He isn't a bad QB. He isn't a choker, the Cowboys choke. And Jurrah is the one doing the strangling.

yea but he's done a lot of choking and no real success, where as favre has done it many many times, and romo hasn't.

Favre just tried to hang on too long. I'm not a Romo hater by any means but Favre accomplished a lot more than Romo has. If Romo ever wins it all then maybe some of the various gaffes he's performed will be forgotten. But as it stands, he's had too many critical errors to just ignore.

Yes, Tony Romo being part of a team that's only won 1 playoff game since 1996 is concerning. However, the Cowboys have always been better with him. You put him on a team like the Bills and boom...that team is suddenly in the playoffs.
