Too much Chargers. I think it does show that both McVay and Lynn are good dudes/coaches but McVay runs a tighter ship. I will say that I’m becoming less of a fan of Les Snead.
Not saying I'm not a fan of Snead but when he and Sean let that LBer go I thought Sean did a great job and it shouldve been left like that. Snead just made it awkward imo.

Exactly. Snead needs to stay in his lane. He does a good job of finding talent but I think he seems out of his element when expressing his assessment of talent once they come through the door. His speech to London last night was awkward and unnecessary IMO.

Yep, this episode was horrible. I’m not looking forward to watching anymore. Shame. Hurry up football season. I need the actual game, not the sideshow.

Mostly just the typical Les "derp derp derp".... The issue was the timing. There was NO need for him to say anything as McVay had already done the hard part. Honestly I didn't even understand what Les was saying when he derped off... It was almost nonsensical. Les is hard to listen to a lot of times IMO.

To makes things worse, after les finished derping, he whiffed on the kids hand shake and went to open the door... That made the follow up hand shake weird. Lol, just an uncomfortable thing to watch
Leave the on camera stuff to Sean please.

I did exactly the same.

So uninspiring. Even fast forwarding through all the Charger stuff. It was awful.

The interjection of politics goes against exactly why I tune into sports, get away from life's bullshit.

Way, way too much. I am genuinely unenthused this year. And I can not believe I would ever feel this way. I love the Rams!!!

you and me both , brother.....I think i am losing my football spirit....i never thought it would happen...i guess i got old at 53

The mistake most of these shows make is they are written and directed and produced by entertainment people.
Meaning, they are looking for “the story”.
The feel good rise from adversity undrafted FA, the quirky guy that everyone will like, the “family behind the player” segments.
Mostly filler nonsense that to their sensibility creates a story.
Show the practice and coaching sessions, leave all the pull at the heart strings and ties to community bullshit on the editing room floor and you have a good show.
They can never get that the game IS THE STORY!!

they turned it off because there's a bit where mcvay watches the video of the police murdering a guy in Wisconsin. People are just too politically correct these days can't handle people with opposing views. It upsets them too much.

i agree....the cops murdered a guy who sexually assaulted his girlfriend....and would not take follow orders....and reached to his floorboard.....dude was doing nothing wrong.

I have no problem with professional athletes doing things in the community to better social inequity. But they have all off season to do that, they are just as famous in the off season as they are during the season. During their sports season athletes should be focused on winning a championship. Dragging politics into sports is just wrong, it waters down the sportsmanship and robs teammates by not giving your team all of your attention and effort to win a championship. Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, but to get all riled up over the shooting of a criminal, that was in the act of committing a crime and was seconds away from endangering the lives of law enforcement seems wrong. If Jacob Blake had been complying and got shot I could understand, but that wasnt the case. What was the officer supposed to do, wait til Blake grabbed the knife and stabbed someone? What if Blake had a gun in his car instead of a knife? Wait til he fires a few rounds injuring innocent victims?

Episode 4 tried to make it like Jacob Blake was just an innocent man being harassed by law enforcement which lead to police brutality. None of which was the case. I watch Hard Knocks for football, not for political statements. I sure hope this upcoming football season isnt ruined by players trying to make political statements, like the NBA and MLB have done to their respective leagues. I love me some Rams football and have watched some very ugly football, but I refuse to watch if it is going to be turned into a political shit storm.

I thought they were talking about the Jacob Blake shooting. What is this murder you are talking about? I havent heard about anyone being murdered by the police in Wisconsin and they didnt talk about any murder on Hard Knocks episode 4.

Dude is drunk. He says someone murdered someone and then also says the murderer did nothing wrong in the same post. I don’t quite understand it. Also, yes, Jacob Blake is “alive”.

I think people just need to recognize that there is a disconnect between what some people think the football players should do and say vs what the football players feel like they should do and say.

Black football players are black in the offseason, regular season, and post-season. They obviously have a bigger platform in season. They don’t live to please us. They can say what they believe in whether we as audience agree or not.

It’s up to us whether we continue to watch or not. Some of us will continue to watch. Some will filter out the politics. Some will refuse to watch. Great. Let’s move on.

What some fail to accept though is while they can say what they want others have just as much of a right to tune them out. I'm all for player community activity. I've stated in other threads I think the best thing players can do and the league can do is a show on NFLN about what players do in their communities. I'd watch that shit weekly but kneeling tunes me out. Unfortunately a lot of players will get up on their soap box and scream and yell but when it comes to doing productive work in the community fall short.

Hey I’m not here to argue whether what they are doing is effective or not. One would imagine talking about the issues brings awareness and is probably better than doing nothing.

Hundred percent agree with you that people have the right to tune out the stuff they don’t want to hear. I just would not expect the football players to do that for them right now.

I'm with you! I just see too many people getting pissed at fans for having an opinion. They expect people to comply or conform to others having an opinion and seem to forget that everybody is entitled to their opinions.

The "I don't mean to be political but...." posts in here, please refrain entirely. Thanks.
Can you dial up the NFL and tell them that?

Politics "has" invaded sports. It's invaded the NFL. It's now invaded our Rams.

Kind of hard not to talk about it when it's all over our sports shows, end zones, helmets, etc.

I hate it!
