I don't know the rams are so good at poker but other times they basically tell you what they are going to do and do it. I keep going back to Sneads presser and he did say in length about big target big pass catcher could come from anywhere then felt like he had to throw us off and say even tight end. So I'm not sure it does make sense on many levels that Gallowday has not signed stafford connection etc. But still the same issues would remain

1. Kupp and Woods and Gallowday would be fine but we have Van so can't stunt his growth and can't turn him into a 4th guy like Josh Reynolds I see bigger things for Van I wanted him when drafted. I mean you can do that but does that help him develop right? 4 receiver sets would be deadly though!

2. Money money money obviously he would need to be told you cannot get paid more than woods or kupp sorry. You have endorsements chance for a ring reuniting with your qb and you are in LA you can turn yourself into a brand a star and make tons of extra revenue all while playing in a palace.

So your gut feeling I cannot lie does have merrit. Once again maybe coop hasn't restructured and again then we are in that 3 or 2 for one area. Sign Gallowday trade coop get pick or/and player so again it does have some merit. We shall see.

TE does make a lot more sense than a FA WR. Still think WR will be drafted. But with TE when you draft it you're waiting. Unless you get lucky with a high end type in the draft which is hard to pull off at 57.

I'm still kind of hopeful Friermuth falls to us. Don't think he'll take too long to be a starter, prob with him is more his pass game upside. But he's also a load. That dude will make a DB look stupid if he's not careful lol.

I do love eskridge I watch his highlights over and over so reminds me of tyreek hill. Feisty and at 5'9 can aggressively high point a ball which is crazy.

Yes and there's multiple guys who would instantly juice us in the slot in this draft btw. I think the Rams take one of them. And I'd be real happy with Eskridge.

Golladay would be absolutely shocking. He's a good young wideout who can excel outside the hashes and tbh I think he's got upside still. Surely that mix of things means he's outside our reach. And me saying this means Snead be like "hold my beer." :ROFLMAO:

I like Friermuth a lot. He’s an all around complete TE.

Two Tight Ends I’d like to see the Rams take a look at are Hayden Hurst and Jesse James. Hurst is unlikely because it would take a trade to acquire him from Atlanta.
James though was released by the Lions. He’s a good receiving TE. and wouldn’t cost a comp pick. He’s a big guy, but I don’t know how well he blocks, but I’ve watched the Lions a lot lately and he gets open and has good hands.

The third tight end I’d like to get my hands on belongs to Jessica Biel but I think she’d just be too much of a distraction for the players and coaches.

Absolutely agreed. Take a higher pick for speedy WR, and spend any money on center.

Didn't realize Jesse James was available. I've liked him since he came out late in the draft, wanted us to take him in fact. He's a big boy and personally I don't mind the lumbering types but I fear McVay does. Just a suspicion since he's drafted only speedy passing game types.

Here on NY it's like supposedly a done deal but no excitement or is it even being discussed a lot. So it's all so weird. Seems like everyone like warm. Without a Stafford contact fix extension restructure etc. It's all moot.

Thinking about him and Higs together on the field and it seems like it would be two similar guys. I think he'll be a better all around TE in this league in fact than Higs but they are both inline guys who can threaten you in the run or pass game.

In trying to predict McVay it seems like he'd be after a classic move TE who threatens in the pass game. So in the TE vs WR equation guys like Friermuth, Long, even Tremble (who might be a FB type option if they go that route) seem unlikely to be targets. Much more of a "McVay fit" would be a guy like Brevin Jordan who is an immediate threat in the passing game.

Or maybe McVay is hell bent on a power run game. Maybe he's changing us from a primary zone run scheme even, I think that's a possibility until we hear some details on what they're going to do because our OL coach was fired. I eagerly await McVay in a presser so maybe the LA press can nuke him a bit on some details.

Could be. Friermuth can do either imo. He’s got versatility. But he’s not a light speed type.

I recall when they drafted Gerald Everett that they really liked Evan Engram. Who is more of a receiver. The Everett pick always felt like a reach to me. Snead hadn’t gotten himself out of the Fisher mode of looking for physical freaks at that point.

We will find out eventually what they think of Hopkins for the move role. Personally I don’t have high expectations for him. Retaining Mundt could be insurance in case Hopkins doesn’t develop enough to be Everett’s heir.

They may expect Higbee to improve with his elbow fully healed. I know from watching the Lions that Stafford threw to Hockenson frequently. If nothing else they could use insurance in case Higbee is out with an injury. But I’d guess that would be a later round pick than Friermuth.

They could also be looking for Higbee’s future replacement.

Yeah TE is kind of our "surprise" position this year. We don't know what they really think of Hopkins who would be Everett's replacement. If they love him this stuff is all comedy to them. But if they don't they may be poised to address it.

Weren't they rumored to be in talks with the Eagles in trade of Ertz? Either way the TE position is one that could go a number of ways.

My gut just got punched hard when I saw Golladay wants 18.5 mil. My gut feeling now is he will not be a Ram :(

For the life of me I can’t understand the Ram fans interest in Golladay.

Way, way to damned expensive.

Way too much injury prone.

Either one should be a deal breaker for a cap strapped team with bigger needs at 5-6 other positions. Geez...
