It's not 'cavalier' where a team has depth at those positions, has holes at other positions, lacks higher end draft picks, and if they can create CAP space to bring in the necessary talent to lessen a problem area on the roster. It's the NFL, you either progress or get stale, quick. jmo.
Cutting Brockers or Hav would save b/w $5-5.5M each. I’d rather have their production than that amount of savings.

That's cool, we can differ on these things, no problem.

I'd trade them both just to get Hudson on board, and with the leftover savings, start taking a better look at some other positions where we can add depth following the draft.

Oh shit, knew he'd most likely get traded if this is true. We have more depth on at DT if we want to improve other positions that need the improvement. Hopefully the gamble pays off.

Gamble ?? Plus The Rams have that rookie everyone was taking about being a Aaron Donald type.
SJD is ready & if The Rams can finally get a pure OLB/De from the draft.Lewis might be that guy,but he is more of a DE Brockers type. Smaller but more speed.

Yes I said it, g-a-m-b-l-e, but isnt every move a gamble? I said in other posts that I get the trade and it's a calculated gamble. How it impacts our run defense and locker room remains to be seen. I think we'll be just fine without Brockers, but I'm no Nostradamus either buddy. I can't even predict what time I'll post next

I think Golladay being top WR on board from start, means something is up. Somebody would have signed him already like a Jacksonville as that was a better fit long term for Lawrence than Jones.

I got a feeling he wants to play with Stafford and we are trying to either reduce more salary or working on a trade to make room.

He should have signed right away otherwise IMO.

Been thinking the same thing. Listening to Les' press conference last week, he talked about how certain QBs like to have certain WRs or skill sets out wide. I think his quote was for instance "A big armed QB like McNair might want a tall big outside WR that fits his skillset." Why would Les make such a comment?? Stafford has had great chemistry with Megatron and Golloday, both 6'4" + WRs. I think trading Woods or Kupp and signing him is a serious possibility. But now with Rodney Hudson gone from the Raiders, we might be considering our options and upgrading C. If we knew Meinerz would be there at pick 57 I would say we make the move for Golloday.

Good points. Feel like we still have plenty of options if we want to add talent. Can't wait to see what move comes next.

Yup and after the Stafford restructure tmrw we should have another $12M-15M to play with. Thats before a potential trade of Havenstein which would free up another $5M. Not to mention if there are any other small restructures we can do. We're definitely not done making moves.

with reports that woods and kupp restructured their contracts, id imagine trading either of them is even more impossible now. dont think a trade is on the table

Yeah, I would stop short of trading Hav. Trading him makes no sense to me. Good starter on a fairly affordable contract.

Sound it out HUDSON. Damn nothing has been the same since Adam Timmerman (correct me if I'm wrong), Sullivan was a mock 2 what a stud especially given his prior history. :horns:

Im perfectly okay with holding onto both and signing djax or drafting a speed guy. I think upgrading at C with Hudson would be better for the team. It's just interesting how the #1 WR FA hasn't signed yet coupled with Snead's comments.

Well a trade is certainly better than cutting him. Hope we got back something worthwhile.

i didnt mean to imply im ruling out a golladay signing, maybe that still happens who knows. just wouldnt expected it to come at a cost of either woods or kupp after the restructuring

WRONG!!!! I’ll say it NOW!!!

NO WAY

Kupp - not going to get value, plus he is a true Gritt Ram

Robert Woods- as much as I talk about Andrew Whitworth. Robert Woods is in that same category. He just restructured his contract.

Expensive FA ?? NO
Draft - Yes & maybe a WR

Hudson ?? I’ll wait on the Offensive Line. Right Now it’s in house. There’s a new Offensive Lines coach so it will be interesting.

Well The Rams could have had that Stud from the Vikings. BARR ??
Dude was like Sullivan. Went to The Ravens & made them a TOP TEAM
Then he retires & cuts 50#’s in 8 months.All cut & a Stud.

Thanks - add Jake Mcquade for fun with The Rams. There are KEY FA
that were must. Billy D F”d up !!
Scott Linehan ?? Just know the final results.
The Rams have so much depth & are in such good hands. They know so much better than I. I was into it back in the day,but with McSnead it doesn’t get much better. They are so in touch with there players. It’s cool.

I caught you in one of your last tweets. Havienstien?? I dot know ??
The Rams Offensive Line has so much depth. You can’t add without subtracting. Blythe for Brewer ???
That’s my basic math.

Pickle your The Best!!! What WR do you think The Rams go after ??

I think they are all in Drafting a young WR 2021. Unless a DE/OLB or a player that has amazing value falls.
