I'm really glad I got to seem him in his rookie year. He was an amazing player. Unfortunately longevity is a big question at this point. Not everyone can bounce back from knee injuries like Frank Gore.

Loved having the healthy and talented Todd Gurley early on in his career with the Rams. I will never wish a former teammate any ill will such as injuries .. but that being said...I won't miss his whiny attitude that came on late and he is no longer a Ram..so I can care less about what he does, says or happens to him. He moved on and so did we. Done.

Todd is still salty but I guess that's understandable. But all that drooling over Tom Brady is a violation.
Hate to say it but I feel right now like TG has absolutely fucking nothing to be upset about with the Rams. They fucking paid his ass. He shortly thereafter got hurt and basically fucked the team over if anything. Then he moped around being all sensitive with the press when they asked about the knee. Moped around on the sidelines more than once.

Once again I've always loved the guy but he's pissing me off right now. To the point I think I'm gonna end up hating him like I do some other ex-Ram favorites. Guess that's just the way it has to be with me.

Id probably be the same way had he kept on about not getting paid. However my respect for him has diminished substantially within the last year. Although it could end up being hate if he continues to disrespect the Rams. As far as I'm concerned he should be thanking the Rams for drafting him and giving him an opportunity as well as being the reason he's a multi millionaire. I can't deny his talent but he very easily could've been passed on due to his knee issues and drafted by a different team later where he might've been burried on their depth chart. If that happens who knows if Todd ever breaks out and gets paid.

I won't go as far as watching ATL games but I'll keep an eye on how he does. Im expecting a year very similar to 2019 or maybe worse and then he will be gone from the league the following year. The reason I say this is because Atlantas OL isn't much better (if at all) than ours was last year and he's going to be put on a snap count yet again.

Gurley was always my boy, but gotta say I'm a bit disappointed by his comments and such after he left. As well as the realization that he was probably kind of a dick behind the scenes.

But you know I still feel for the dude. That injury ended what should have been a Hall of Fame career. Doubt he gets in now, unless they continue to dumb down the entry requirements that is.

And I expected him to have a strong season in 2020 with Atlanta because it's his home town and all. Figured he'd leave whatever he has left on the field then sail into retirement. But if he's already limping... That successful season in front of his home town might not happen.
I'm over Gurley. He's not a Ram and if the Rams play the Falcons, I hope Donald crushes him.

Lol why is he so salty? He literally said after he got hurt in 2018 that he wished he could give the Rams back the money. Obviously no one believes that, or did at the time, but you think he'd at least understand and be a little different in the public light lol.

Oh well, he seems like a good guy can't fault him for emotions I guess.

My POV is that Gurley is an asshat. Look at how Eric Weddle conducted himself while a Ram, toward his former team. He would not sell out his former teammates on the Ravens and wasn't butthurt when speaking of them. It's too bad the Rams didn't draft him back in the day, because we got the diminished older player by the time he came to LA.

Pride....it ain’t easy coming off that pedestal especially so soon after being placed there. The Rams are moving forward. Gurley needs to move forward. I hope this forum moves forward because Gurley had a major part in the resurrection of the Rams.

A major part, indeed

The linked video is no big deal...there’s no salt or negativity to the Rams

I‘m not hating on the guy

Same here. I loved the fact that he was always appeared to remain humble, though ,at one time he was the best RB
in the league. The fact that he was born in my home state of North Carolina just made me love him even more.
Not sure what happened between he and Mcvay, or who was at fault. I know it hurt Gurley's feelings, pride when
he was cut, hence some of his statements made afterwards.

I feel bad for the guy as well and hope he can regain some of that juice he once had, just as long as it's not
against the Rams.

If it helps ease the pain @CoachAllred he was actually born in Baltimore before moving to Tarboro at an early age.

The Rams...

Drafted him 10th despite his injury.
Handed him the keys to the offense.
Made him a Pro Bowl player and a star.
Gave him a big contract before they had to.
Stood by him after his knee started having problems.

Yeah... he has a lot of cause to be salty.

I thought the video was vintage TG. Making jokes and being himself.

I think TG wanted the ball more last year. Rams had him blocking in the backfield a lot. I think McVay should have given him the ball more early on.

In the end, the Rams kept him healthy enough to at least offset some cap hit this year and have only $8.4Mil this year and next year of dead money.

He seems to be more of a power back now. I'm curious to see how he finishes his career.

TG was great and fun to watch as a Ram. Time to move on with Akers, Henderson and Brown.

Lies All Lies. I curse you.... and biteth my thumb at thee sir!
I'm sure Gurley is ashamed of being born a Yankee.
You hailing from Fla. should know better than to embarrass a southern man, by telling him he has....Gulp. Yankee blood

All of the negative or selfish things he has said, must be
from living in LA too long with those highfalutin movie star types and such.

Bunch of Devil luvin heathens.

Yeah, but Maryland fought for the Union. Hence, not Southern.

Please ignore that the state of Missouri fought for the Union as well; we're still quite Southern, as well as Midwestern and Western.
