I keep hearing that Robinson's problems are fixable. He's got almost two full years in and one would hope he's been at least a little fixed by now. I don't see improvement from year one to year two. Either they ain't as fixable as some think or the people doing the fixing aren't good fixers. What a fix we're in.

Four Questions here......:bueller:

Could we at least agree that Greg Robinson on field performance during the month of December is better than his earlier season play?

Or do some members just see zero improvement?

GRob has started & played most every snap for 14 games this season. The post directly right of him OLG has seen six different OL'ers playing this post during these 14 games.
#1-Jamon Brown (Rookie)
#2-Rodger Saffold (weak & injured)
#3-Demetrius Rhaney (Rookie)
#4-Cody Wichmann(Rookie)
#5-Andrew Donnal (Rookie)
#6-As of late veteran Garrett Reynolds

Would all those half dozen OLG's have made GRob a bit jittery, more prone to mistakes ?

Does this fact have any merit to it?

Maybe, although playing next to bad players didn't matter for Joe Barksdale. I still think if GRob was a third rounder with huge upside this conversation would look totally different. They may not be actively trying to replace him in that case but they'd keep their options open. That's all I'm asking for them to do in the off-season. Draft the best players available and not pass up any potential good FAs or trades just to keep GRob from having no good competition.

Unfortunately the way Grob is progressing he will have his best year in his contract year.So then the team would have to give up left tackle money for 1 good year.Grob doesn't deserve the blame here this falls squarely on Fisher's shoulders.

Well said

Thanks for that info @jrry32 . I'll have to look more closely at what we're doing. I doubt it will influence my opinion of his work on the field though. I haven't given up completely on him but he hasn't shown me much yet and I fear he's another Quick. Here's hoping I'm wrong.

BTW I hope you and all the rest of my ROD brothers have a great holiday season! (y):grouphug::yess::rockon::cheers::banana:

OK GRob bashers. Did you see his play yesterday? No penalties, good pass pro, good run blocking. If GRob plays as good or better (which he is fully capable of) as he did yesterday, next season, he will make the pro bowl. GRob had his best game as a Ram yesterday by far.

Yes it did. Joseph ended up starting at RG next to Barksdale after Long went down. GRob went to LG while Saffold went to LT. Then GRob started at LT and Saffold back at LG with Joseph still at RG. Up until about midway through the season, IIRC, Barksdale either gave up very few, if any, sacks until Joseph played right next to him. Barksdale had a great start to the beginning of the season and it declined as the season went on.

I meant in terms of saving his job, or as an excuse most people accepted as legitimate. It definitely effected his play.
