That would mean spruce needs to pack his bags, seeing he was undrafted and all.

.
Exactly, according to the "he was (choose one) undrafted/drafted/drafted high/drafted low for a reason" analysts here. Since drafters make so many mistakes like this, I don't defer my player evaluations to their selection processes.

Helmets on; draft status now irrelevant.

He was a disappointment and bad character guy when Arkansas recruited him out of HIGH SCHOOL!!

Nope

DGB has had a much better NFL career than Spruce so far. Players get drafted based on transcending ability to next level.
He showed his worthiness on the field however his attitude has removed him from it

He doesn't offer anything after three years that we can't get out of Reynolds this year. DBG wouldn't start here.

2 years ago I would have been all for this.
Today, I don't want anything to do with him.

Fish would have been all over him as well. Physical talent over all else. He might even give us someone to push Quick on the depth chart. :rolllaugh:

One of these days we'll have our fans not drooling over people cut because they were bad. So many times we were told this guy was a must signing that he was an amazing athlete and a great WR and we were fools for not putting him on the 53. In the last year this guy has been traded for a backup OT and cut. I guess size and speed isn't a guarantee of NFL success for a WR.
I knew I'd find you in here...stirring it up. LOLOL
Much like Michael Floyd, until our roster is talented enough to compete with the Seahawks, Cardinals, and 9ers, we should leave NO STONE UNTURNED...

I help coach on a girls softball team....and the HC is always talking about taking kids from good families....this that and a third...:blah: ...I always tell him, if Charles Manson had a 10 year old girl, that could hit 3rd in the batting order, I'm taking her too.....Hey, that's just me...:mrburnsevil:

DGB is a matchup NIGHTMARE:football:....no reason to not kick the tires...until our roster is stronger..

BTW, where is that 53 man roster thread? I got something to put in there....think it was started by...was it jrry or jake?

Such a matchup nightmare he's been kicked to the curb twice in a year! He couldn't make your girls softball team! Guys a scrub but he ran a 4.5 40 in his underwear and is 6'4" I knew you'd be in here carving his bust for Canton! haha

I wasn't comparing the two as players. My point is that teams frequently get it wrong both ways: some draft selections don't pan out and some UDFA's do. Neither status accurately indicates whether a guy can definitely play and contribute. That's why, to me, draft status goes out the window when the helmets go on. I can see what I need to in a player with my own eyes without "he was drafted/undrafted for a reason." McVay can too.

The % of undeafted players making a roster is incredibly low comparative to drafted. It's not even close

I'd say the obvious landing spot for him is either Cleveland or Canada.
