I hear ya, me too. Georgia was the devil and I was done with the Rams. Just gonna do college football. Last preseason game of the first year in St. Louis, watched some of it....part way through that first year in St. Louis I was back onboard.
The funny thing is if the Rams dont win that stadium may be half empty pretty quickly. The Chargers do fine when they are winning, if they struggle it gets empty quick. Even USC would not sell out, or at least have people show up, when they were struggling....that is with tons of alumni around.
LA is still a baseball town mostly.
Dave, listen. I respect you, but you shouldn't go there. You should respect the situation and realize the true civic price that those from the Stl metro area have.
Since you so harshly opened the door, let's compare this to a long time friend that you considered your best friend for 20 years.
This friend was great. Then all of the sudden, he goes to all his other friends and tells them all that you're the worst, and that anyone that's friends with you will lose everything. Complete slander backed up by some cobbled together stats.

Well that turned into the ramblings of a madman...lmao....but I think you get what I'm saying. Moral is, not everyone is the same. I know you're old enough that I don't need to lecture you, but this isn't a cut and dry situation. I lived 25 years in STL and the civic pride there isn't felt anywhere else, except maybe a college town of a huge D-1 school.
Sorry for the rant. This type of thing just strikes a chord with me.

As I posted previously, in the Town Hall thread, I am leaving, too. I could never cheer for a team whose owner behaved like Mr. Stain Kroenke just did.
I have lots of Rams' gear, I lived for each game, I don't think I've missed more than 2 or 3 in the past 20 years (watching or listening; I only got to go to 1 or 2 each year in person), and I love most of the posters on this forum, which is the best Rams' site on the web.
But I am absolutely through with the NFL except for hoping that each week the Cheatriots lose to whomever they are playing and hoping that within 5 years, when all the 'new' has worn off Inglewood, that the Rams are playing to a 10% crowd in Inglewood, and then that a big earthquake strikes before Stain has recouped any of his investment and crashes the entire 'development' into dust (without hurting a living soul, by the way).
I further hope that the NFL's market continues to erode and that average fans like myself start deserting in droves and realize that, yes, there IS a life -- a GOOD LIFE -- without the NFL.
I wish all of you who continue to follow the Rams lots of excitement as the same ol', same ol' coach tries to win more games than he loses, for once. But then maybe he was INSTRUCTED to lose games? Just to keep the fans away?
Nothing would surprise me in the world of collusion, intrigue and downright unfairness that is the NFL in general and the Rams in particular.

I don't see how any Rams fan (past or present) can forgive what the Patriots did to us. I also accept that a St. Louis fan can't accept or forgive what Kroenke did to them.

I find it absolutely insensitive. It's easy to make these comments when you don't GO TO THE GAMES.
You sit at home on your couch in front of a tv I guess itt doesn't matter where they play.
But when you share the experIence with your teenage son being in the stadium. when you invest the time to go to every open practice and meet other terrific loyal and dedicated fans because they sure the same sort of passion. Then you might get think twice before you make these insensitive remarks above how nothing really important happened today.
