If Goff is smarter than the average NFL QB, what does the fact he didn't know the sun rises in the east say about our education system? And Goff wasn't the only Ram rookie that didn't know this, scary when you think about that generation eventually running things.

This is overblown, he's 21 years old and I can think back there were certain things that I didn't know at a younger age, yes this was something easy, but all of us at younger ages did not know something pretty common, it's part of growing up.

Nope, stop it....I refuse to believe 500+ individuals don't know east from west...north, and south...or directions in general.

I get how cell phones have destroyed the memorization of numbers & such...but directions too? what, googlemaps have killed basic directional knowledge?

I smell a prank here. He's from CA and has seen the sun set over the ocean oodles of times in his life. It's possible he had a brain fart but I think he's pulling peoples leg here for the sake of TV.

@OldSchool you may be right. When I listen to pro athletes speak to reporters I'm astounded at how so many of them can't put together a sentence correctly. It makes me cringe because they all went to HS and essentially all went to at least one year of college and usually most guys go 3 or 4. IMO it's because they are athletes they aren't held to the same academic standard and haven't since they were in their early of mid teens.
