Is it that the lightbulb went on, or that they finally landed in situations that were conducive to QB success?

Geno Smith played in a stupid offense with a bad Oline this season and threw for 4300 yards and a 70% completion percentage.
If we're talking about getting a QB without breaking the bank, even if it's a bridge guy.. damn, I'll take that.
And when the chips were down, Geno went Geno.
No way do I aspire to have him as my qb

The misses outnumber the hits. Some years there seem to be many more options. This year the options are few.

Sure!
But we’re talking a relatively inexpensive miss… and, as I’ve said, I’m not just handing him the keys.

Stafford aint retiring but if he does. Yeah I sell the farm for Lawrence....him with McVay and that young D.....print the tickets.

That said #9 is our QB for the next 2 seasons, and Im 100% fine with that.
I'd love to take a shot on Lawrence. But the Jaguars have no reason to trade him.
And each of them flamed out multiple times until they were in the league for several years before the lightbulb went on.
Baker is in a different catagory as he once had incredible success in the NFL even won a playoff game.
Darnold, the jury may still be out. And striving for the next Geno Smith doesn’t exactly warm the heart
Then, they landed in the right situation and turned their careers around. As for Geno, he is an average to above average starting QB. No guarantees we end up with somebody better when Stafford retires.
I guess it all comes down to the Rams evaluation of Levis. Corn’d connection to the Rams would offer possible intel.

On the surface I don’t think he’s played well at all and it’s not the physical tools that are the issue. Some of its mechanics and most of it is mental. McVay was really frustrated with Goff’s mental errors.

I’d prefer Wilson or Howell. I think both have played better than Levis and neither had a great coaching situation, similar to Levis.

Wilson is a free agent this winter while Howell has another year under contract.
Agreed. It depends on whether they like him. If they don't, that's that. But if McVay thinks there's something there, why not take the shot?

Lawrence just signed his monster extension and realistically couldn’t be moved for at least 2 years.
Which might fit perfectly with Stafford’s Rams career

That’s my point. He’s not particularly accurate and he makes terrible decisions. Goff was a good QB who displayed great accuracy and McVay had no tolerance for his poor decisions.

I will be surprised if the Rams want him.

So you can’t read and comprehend English?
Got it
Well, you seem to want to ignore everything about the conversation and focus on stuff that we all know.

No shit, he's bad.. that's why he'd be fucking available.

But.. go on.

No way I'd take Levis. He doesn't have the football IQ necessary for quarterback. You watch his games, and you'll see him making stupid decision after stupid decision. If you think that I'm crazy for wanting Justin Fields, Levis had much worse decision-making and processing; it's why he got sacked and turned the ball over so much.
I'd take Fields over Levis all day everyday. I'll keep saying it over and over, Levis sucks.

Strictly speaking… Fields sucks too.

And Fields was way worse than Wilson in the same system.

That being said, fields, kind of fits in the same idea.

Yeah I'm not advocating for either one to be necessarily signed, but I disagree. Fields is better than Levis. Levis is hot ass garbage. Fields at least had a respectable starting record last year.
