Our division lost. Cowboys lost. Aints lost. Steelers didn't win.

A win for us tomorrow would wrap up about as perfect of a week 1 as it could be.

Great to see the rest of the NFC West lose

Nice to see the Saints and Giants both lose.

Not that we needed them to be but the rest of our division looks pretty bad. This might be the new AFC East and the Rams are the Patriots. But not cheaters.

Jimmy's not happy. Jimmy didn't play good. Jimmy's glad he got paid already. Jimmy might not be the Mesiah.

Yikes! I hope that guy is watching the game from an insane asylum!

c'mon man, we've all been there. when they show a replay of an interception you're like, "what are you looking at?half the defense is on that guy". pressure makes qbs do strange things.

Exactly!!

2 of the 3 were because he was under pressure and his mechanics/throwing motion was out of whck because he wasn't standing in and delivering. This was one of the many things Warner used to do that made him a Hall of Fame QB. He did lots of other things too, but he himself when asked about how he was so courageous in the pocket and how he would stand in and deliver the ball said that as a QB you may as well do it because your going to get hit anyway.

But as we know it's easier said than done. Pressure makes QB's do strange this is right and here is a very good example of that. Even slight changes in mechanics can alter the path of the ball. Two of his INT's yesterday were from exactly that.

The first was was him bailing on the throw as he was delivering it so that he could back away from the hit. His upper body was actually moving slightly backward as he was throwing. Even if the WR didn't slip he threw it right to the DB because he was in a hurry to get rid of it and protect himself from a hit which cost him some accuracy. Enough to throw the pick 6.

The second was just a bad throw. His form and mechanics were fine, he just missed the mark and the DB got a very, very lucky break when the ball bounced off of his hand then of off his facemask then back into his hands and he was able to hold onto it. Credit for reflexes and awareness for sure but it was a really, really lucky bounce!

The third was him feeling pressure and moving his feet into a parallel position and the ball came out floating and wobbly. He was also just starting to bend at the waist a split second before the defender hit and wrapped him up around the waist.

When he faces the Rams he's in trouble..........big time trouble unless the 49ers get him to the Wizard of Oz for some of that courage he gave to the Cowardly Lion or they somehow shore up the OL in a VERY HUGE way.

Here are all three INT's, you can see for yourself.
