Strahan on Fox just now said that the players last year went to McVay and said, we want Wolf over Goff. I hadnt heard that and I wonder if that is something he knows or if he is just speculating.
Wow! That's big if true.

I remember hearing rumblings about that somewhere during that time. Can't remember from where. It makes sense though. That team balled out pretty much everywhere all year with the exception of QB and Special teams.

Also, i have no doubt that McV 's pulse on his locker room is as in tune as it gets. Trading away a QB who has a ton of support in the locker room would have been suicide.

SUPPOSEDLY Goff hung up on McVay when McVay called to tell him he was traded, so perhaps Goff wasn't "in the dark" like he said.

Not really a surprise. That locker room knew how close they were last year so of course they were frustrated.

I think it was noticable when Wolf started against AZ. The energy from the team and the sideline seemed different for sure. Some around here speculated if the locker room wanted Wolf but hadn't seen it confirmed anywhere. I think a week or two before that Goff slid a yard short of the 1st down vs Seattle on that 3rd down play. I remember seeing people's body language after that play, and it wasn't good.

Entitled rich kid man, always put out that vibe. I get being upset but he acts like it was out of the blue? Like there was no merit in the team wanting to move on?? Get fucking real.

Like he didn't read the writing on the wall with the McVay and Snead press conferences when they wouldn't commit to Goff returning as the starter.

Funny, I heard a piece with McVay taking about that he handled the Goff sitch poorly.

That said, it sure is nice to be in the middle of 3 bye week games

It was. The tempo also seemed to speed up a tad w/Wolf in there. With Stafford that tempo is light years quicker.

I'm wanting to see McVay bring some life to the TE position! Get Higbeast in it early and often. I know we have a great WR bunch...but you gotta used ALL OF YOUR ARSENAL, which includes Higbeast. Also...be willing to use the screen pass to the HBs more!!!

DO YOU HEAR ME McVay???

Annnnnnnd yet we didn’t punch it in (goal line penalty be damned) vs a team the last 4-5 times scored at will on

Can anyone explain why?

Oh well

Lets kick some Detroit booty today

Same. Got an old pup who required my assistance first thing this morning so I was up at the ass crack of dawn. Now I'm dying.

Wolf isn't that good but his mechanics haven't turned into molasses is my explanation.
I really wanna root for the kid, but I’d be very concerned if (God Forbid) if we had to win a big game vs a formidable opponent with Wolfy
