I didn’t know that about #5 on your list. Thanks for clearing that up. I know I was bitching about the no call. Oops.

Yes, the holding on Suh and AD was pretty bad, however the refs were letting these guys play. There were a couple plays that weren't called on us TBH. I remember Higbe had a really bad hold on a 3rd down that should have been called and wasn't and Saffold had a block in the back that was picked up that should have been called. So I like that the refs really kept the flags to a minimum.

I'm expecting a lot more non-holding calls in the league to protect ratings- I mean, QBs

I could see them not calling some the less obvious holds...

But there were no calls on some blatant ‘I have to grab this guy around the neck and tackle him before he kills my quarterback’ holding...I just don’t understand not seeing them or throwing a flag on them.

What kills me about it is it’s the job of the Umpire to catch that. On pass plays the Umpire should be pretty focused on the interior line. The Referee watches the tackles and kinda shadows the QB. The Umpire should be all over those holdings.

I think he is there to protect the QB. Which is why they "miss" some holding.

Here is my evaluation: helplessness.

If you look at old tape of the Greatest Show, 1999-2001, you saw defenses that were confused and slow to react to what Kurt Warner & Co. were doing to them. They looked unprepared, regardless of the hours of prep time they must have undertaken. It wasn’t enough, and they looked lost by what Mike Martz had dialed up.

The 2018 Rams made the Vikings look the EXACTLY same way, for the same reasons. Martz is gone and McGenius is the Ringleader under the Big Top. The Vikings looked helpless and confused, as they schemed against hapless Barr for 3 TD’s.

Our defense needs some work, and Peters needs to get 100% healthy. Ten days off will help everyone recuperate, and give McGenius that much time to prepare a game plan for Seattle. Lol, it’s almost not fair.

Something like, in the 4th quarter, "The Vikings fans that are here are now being overwhelmed by the Rams fans"

McVay understands the nuances of football not just at the pro level, but at the molecular level.

Football "Rainman" only smarter.

I have to admit I'm not watching Ramik specifically each play. Sure seems to me though he's in the mix quite a bit making tackles and stopping ball carriers. He's 3rd on the team in tackles, tied for 1st with Ebukam for tackles for loss, and 1 pass defense.

I don't think he's as bad as some make him out to be.

Yeah 63, I don't understand all the knocks on Wilson, He's shown better than Ogletree so far.
Getting a healthy Barron back will greatly improve LB corp.

Cousins is known as a guy who’ll throw it to the wrong team and several of those throws looked like they were at least going to get knocked down. I wonder if Peters gets a hand on those 2 that went
Just out of his reach if he’s 100%. Those 2 and the one by shields would’ve made it a different game as they were 3rd down conversions and a td.

There is good and bad with all players, I guess, but Wilson is just a little better than 50/50, and seems to wear down as the game goes on. That's my take on him. He makes some really good plays too, but Barron is definitely better, when he's healthy.

Wilson flashes for me, good, and bad.

I'll be honest, I don't like him. However, I'll admit that it's based on guessing and assumptions as opposed to facts.

I see that the middle of the field pass defense is weak, and I assume that a large part of that is Wilson's responsibility because he's taking over for Barron. I therefore blame him.

I might be wrong, but it fits in my head so I run with it. If he's actually doing well, I want to know who keeps letting people complete passes over the middle.

I can't locate it, but on a run to the left side last night, Whitworth ragdolled a viking into another...saw the clip somewhere. If you can, watch that...guy is a destroyer of worlds.
It was EPIC.

So I finally had a chance to watch my DVR of the game. Being at the game and sitting so high up, I wanted to see if I missed anything.

Didn't really miss a thing!

Our LB core needs some work along with our edge rushers. Not bad work by these guys but it could be better.
M. Peters was not himself, that was evident early on when he was a step or two behind his receiver.
J. Johnson III had an off game, missed some tackles. He'll fix that. He has his pride.

@bubbaramfan pointed out that Vikings LB Barr was the one being targeted on our TD passes. I hadn't noticed that until the watching the game again on DVR.

I could not believe the throws Goff was making. Frozen ropes on a dime! It was very evident at the game and even more so on the replay. After the second Kupp TD, I turned to the Viking fan behind me, a nice man by the name of Joe and told him I could not see any team stopping this offense. He reluctantly agreed with me but still held out hope for his team. He wasn't all that wrong, as it turned out.

I made mention in the game day thread during the Oakland Raiders game that we were witnessing the beginning of a dynasty. It only has gotten better after each game. The way this team runs it's plays with precision, the adjustments during the game (something horribly missing in prior coaching), the whole We not Me concept. I can't get enough of it!
