Yeah now that you reminded us I do recall. I thought they were aiming lower, like Roos Bolton. I don't see how it helps them. It must have something to do with Jon Snow.

Not really, or at least when the Red Woman first tells Stannis to head to the wall it is because she knows, through the God of Light's visions, that if they do not the wildlings and everything else north of the wall will freely enter the 7 realms and destroy everything in their path. Stannis actually does the right thing.... almost the kingly thing if you will... by putting his self interests aside to defend the realm against the wildlings when no other self named "king" would even listen to Castle Black's pleas for help over the last three seasons.

In the books there's no mentioning of what Stannis is doing. You're looking through Jon Snow's perspective being held captive in the wildling camp after Mance basically tells him to F off because he knows he'll roll over Castle Black when suddenly armored cavalry charges in from both directions and slaughters Mance's forces from the middle out. Snow and the readers only know what's going on after the wildlings are routed and the soldiers start chanting "Stannis, Stannis, Stannis!" Stannis is known to be a military genius and this was the first time really showing it when 5,000 cavalry make 100,000 scared wildlings run for their lives by attacking the middle of them, taking their leadership quickly, and pushing them outwards and scattered. Which was what Snow wanted to do. He knew without Mance the wildlings wouldn't stand with each other.

However, now that they are there and the red woman has seen Jon Snow and they know who he is I wouldn't put her past having a plan for him. :)

There were a couple things in the show that never happened in the books. The Hound and Brienne never fight in the books. The Hound is left for dead by Arya after his wounds from the tavern fight (earlier in the season) makes him to weak to walk. She leaves him and you are left not knowing what happens to him aside from some cryptic hints later on. Also, Jojen is still alive in the books. No idea why they decided to have him get killed and then blown up by the Children at the tree. All though he has basically served his purpose so maybe they wanted to cut some unneeded salary lol.

Thanks for filling me in. Nice recap and it explains things a bit better.

Yea, was confused when Jojen was killed.

Another part They left out was about Tysha, Tyrions first wife when he was younger, he married her when they ran off together. She was a commoner and when Tywin learned what happened he made Jaime lie to Tyrion that she was a whore, then Tywin had her raped by a bunch of soldiers and cast away.

Tyrion kills Tywin while discussing her, not Shae. And also when him and Jaime are about to go there separate ways after he sneaks him out of his cell, Jaime finally tells him the truth that she wasnt a whore and did actually love him. Tyrion gets pissed off and tells Jaime that he did kill Joffrey just to try and hurt Jaime before they part ways.

Also, WTF!!! Where was Lady Stoneheart??? That definitely woulda made the episode better seeing her at the end.

Didn't think that was a spoiler because I didn't think. Deleted my post and my quote in your post.

No, I have not read the books but have read comments online that reveal who Lady Stoneheart is. And no, I have no idea what happens next season.

You got the best of me and I had to go look her up. From all of the stuff I read I don't like it. I don't think she was needed because it would have been a very odd twist. It seems a bit strange and misplaced and it takes away from the power of what happened in the past.

Makes sense but I still rather he made it. They were scary enough. Couldn't that kid had shown up a bit sooner. It seemed they already knew that they had visitors.

After the Red Wedding episode I came to the conclusion that I'd rather know in advance when it comes to this particular show. Have you been watching Penny Dreadful?

In the book I liked it. She is a wicked evil reanimated bitch who wants nothing more than to kill all who wronged her. She is not the same as before. We shall see how it plays out on the show, but I am sure it will be good shit like everything else.

I read that she sentences Brienne. Brienne didn't do anything wrong. That part with Beric was a bit odd too. It was like a little blurb and I didn't understand who they were and how they fit into it all. I also was surprised that Gemdry chose to go with them. He was getting to be a main character and then poof! He and Beric and the other guy were gone. I actually had forgotten about them all until I read up on LSH.

No spoilers from moi. Love the whole Victorian era, the clothes, the architecture, the creepiness.

'Black Sails' was pretty meh for a show on pirates. Enjoyed 'Boardwalk Empire.' That should be on again this summer. Couldn't get into 'Sleepy Hollow.' 'The Bridge' is quirky and starts again this month. I watch everything here.

They will all return and am sure they will play a nice role in things. LSH is definitely more like a whole new character. I comletely forgot about Gendry till you mentioned him just now lol. Haven't seen him in ages. I'm curious to see if he ever makes it to the iron throne.
