I remember Jon getting attacked by the eagle in the books, but for some reason I remember Ygritte nursing his wounds after. Old Age I guess LOL

Yeah you are right. Orell, the wildling/warg that controls the eagle, was actually part of the wildling group Jon kills with the other crows where he meets Ygritte in the book. He was never a character like he is in the show. And at some point shortly after that the eagle attacks Jon before they ever climb over the wall. Not sure why they changed that around. Guess they decided they needed someone to be an ass to Jon so they could have some dialogue besides him and Ygritte kissin on each other lol.

I still think about that last episode at different times throughout the day. You know a show is good when it disturbs you. I haven't been disturbed by anything since I was 13 years old and first saw The Exorcist.

lol The more I think about it the more I actually like it. It wasn't that they were just killed off, but it was the fucking way they were. Not even the gruesomeness, but the lead up to it made it so surprising and shocking. Things were finally starting to turn in their favor. He just basically trolled the living fuck out of everyone hahahahahahahahaha

I have to disagree to a certain extent; the scary thing (and what makes the Red Wedding one of the most awesome scenes to read/watch in any sort of fiction) is that Martin actually foreshadowed the hell out of that scene. He put in enough clues to make you automatically notice them after reading it through a second time, and he did that without giving away the game to a person who hasn't had experience with the series.

That's what talented authors/authoresses do, and it's one of many good reasons why Martin's considered the modern day American J.R.R. Tolkien.

Oh he's an amazing author I'm not bashing him at all. I've never read the books, I know a few people that have though. They said when they read the scene too they had no clue, I certainly didn't either. Not saying there isn't any foreshadowing there but I think the majority of people were pretty shocked and stunned. I didn't read the books though either like I said. I'm also a dumbass too so there's that.

I love the show though, and have no problem with the episode at all. Not hating.

Yeah was several scenes I had in my mind that I was hoping they'd end the season with. But they chose to keep pretty much everything for next season. There's a lot of huge events that will be crammed into season 4 now if they do everything else that happened in book 3 next year. And some of them will make people jump for joy figuratively speaking... well maybe literally for some lol.

However, the show still had some decent things. It was all setup though which makes it feel anti climatic being a finale. The last shot was pretty cool despite that though. Daenrys being worshipped by the masses at the center of hands reaching for her calling her mother. That gave me a chill. But still not the shot I thought would end the season on.

This did not leave me craving season 4. However had they ended it with someone cutting Geoffrey's damn throat, I would be pumped.
If anyone has read the books, pm me. I need to know if the f'er dies. I don't wanna know who becomes king or who even kills him if it happens, I just wanna know if he dies and what season I can expect it.
