Well my menu just got fkd.
We have NY strip for tonight and a whole brisket for tomorrow but my friends with the Traeger are late as usual. No menu items are cooking. Grrrrr.

Oh, man. In all seriousness… tamales sound really good. I can’t make them… and I can’t even guess the closest restaurant. I love tamales.

I love tamales, but it's a lot of work to make them. Also, we have a lot on Thanksgiving and Christmas. My GF and her mother make enough during the holidays that we can freeze a bunch for the rest of the year. I've had homemade tamales since I was a kid. The lady across the street use to make them from scratch and her husband would sell them off a cart and that was their business. Eventually, they opened their own taco shop with her tamales.
My wife made her killer lasagna yesterday because we had some friends come over. I thought there'd be some left over for today... but... I literally just woke up out of a deep sleep and came downstairs and finished off the last bit of it. I'm gonna head back to bed now.
We've got some french toast (Alton Browns recipe) and air fried bacon for this morning and then NY strip on the grill for dinner. Dinner and clean up should be done by kickoff!
