When I am not eating them as Poutine....(which is most of the time) It's either hot sauce or vinegar for me.

Oh yeah. That's another good way -- salt & malt vinegar.
Forgot all about that. That's how they do it at Long John Silvers... (seafood fast food joint)

Yeah.... Gotta pour on that vinegar when you are having fish n' chips!!!!

What part of Quebec are you in? I used to go to Montreal a few times a year on biz, been there about 20 times. I made it up to Quebec City and into Sherbrooke a few times too.

Montreal is my second favorite city.

Wow......very nice.

That's a big place though and can be seen from a ways. I wish I could recall the fondue place I went to there.....oh man it was so good.

That's the classic English way. Salt and vinegar, eaten with your fingers. We used to get chips on the way home from school almost every day and eat them as described above.

I am king of the castle so if I want fancy sauce I get it! I don't have to make my own batch!

Usually just salt and I have a bad habit of eating my fries before my burger, fish, chicken etc. Gotta eat them hot as possible.

Something everyone should try is dunking them in a milkshake. Yeah, sounds nasty right? Not at all. I kinda experienced it by accident (you know, like the Reese's cup thing, two people, one eating chocolate, the other eating peanut butter, bump into each other and make the combination) I rarely eat them like this but every once in a blue moon, I may dip a few. Try it you chicken bastards, it's not that weird !!!!!!!

That's not all that unusual. I've done that before too. It's not something I'd do with ALL the fries on the plate, but once in a while ... yeah. Similarly, if you sprinkle a little salt into your ice cream or milkshake, it makes it a lot better.

Much the same way smores with jalepenos is the bomb.

Apparently not as weird as you might think. As a kid, I always got a chocolate shake with my two cheeseburgers and fries at McD's. Always had (and still do) to eat my fries first and dunk a few in my shake. Gave the shake a little salt which I liked as well. No catsup for me. Kinda meh on vinegar too.

Jalepenos on smores? Huh. Might have to try that.
