That would do it for me too..........they wouldn't be the Rams and so I would find a different team I guess.

When she died a lot of people were saying nice things about her. I couldn't bring myself to do it.

That would be so sweet, but man the first one and how it just came out of nowhere was SUCH a magic carpet ride. I was a bit nervous for the game because TENN had handled the Rams pretty well.

I remember walking into a convenience store and seeing this SI cover and grabbing a copy as fast as I could.

Somehow, I still have my copy...right here in my bedroom endtable. What a moment when that issue arrived in the mail!

Maybe I'll shut this one down...

Been a fan since around 1966.

Never lived in or near L.A. or STL.

Just loved the horns and have stayed with them, through thick and thin.

I understand the angst toward Frontiere by L.A./Cali fans. She stole the team away from you. And it was nasty and painful.

What I don't understand is the free ride from so many that Kroenke gets for what he did to the STL fans.

Frontiere made some nasty moves but, to the best of my knowledge, never publicly belittled the city or fans. Kroenke did.

To the Mods... I know the rule about not ragging on players, management or owners.. but, since this thread has been allowed to rag on Frontiere (not that I'm defending her), thought there should be some balanced reporting on Kroenke.

Quite frankly, they are very similar: They really, really love(d) money.

In and of itself, not a bad thing so long as you don't love it to the detriment of others.

Both have caused pain and suffering... one in California... one in Missouri.

Yep. This. ^^^
Fortunately, I got to witness (a lot in person) the greatest season ever in the 99 season. Nothing will ever beat that season. The RAMS would come close this year if they can finish it out to the end.

From your keyboard to God's ears!!

When you think about it, the franchise (and its fans) have been through a LOT.

But, through it all, here we are in 2018... with our favorite team sitting at 7-0... only undefeated team in the league.

If they wrote a book, they might have to classify it as fiction.

As a so cal fan since a little kid in the mid-seventies, I don't really feel any angst for Kroenke, for the sole reason that I still feel the Rams never should have landed/moved to another state in the first place. Having said that, I never kept up with the fine details of the Rams moving back to LA and am not able to comment on what Kroenke has stated in the past. I would not condone Kroenke belitting St. Louis fans, and am not happy to hear he did so.

I officially love these uniforms

They look very good, like I said the other day I didn't like the version that was sent out via press but upon seeing them on the field they were great.

Somehow, I still have my copy...right here in my bedroom endtable.

Prolly next to a bottle of lube hahahahaha.

one in California... one in Missouri.

The truth is one in California, and the other one in both California and Missouri.

Now Les, that's inappropriate...even in blue font! You've been getting on my nerves the last couple of days!

But so many have forgotten or don't want to hear that SK insisted the Rams move from LA to St.Louis before he bought into to Rams. He didn't buy into the Rams and say hey. Let's make this market work. SK thumbed his nose at LA and St. Louis.

But I'm glad this thread has gotten a little better vibe to it with the last few posts.

Rams moving to St. Louis: didn't like it but I didn't live in Cali and they were still the Rams so I was elated to finally win a SB after years of trying.

Evil bitch: hated her, they won it all despite her ignorance

Back in LA: loved it, some said it would never happen (where are they now)

STL fans who hate Rams because of the move back (to where they belong): screw 'em... sour grapes.

classic yellow/royal colors: love 'em, best ever, what drew me to the Rams back in the day.

LA Traiter fans: they disgust me... and ice cube can eat a dick

Raiders: belong in Oakland, not LA or Vegas

okay vent over... we're 7-0 and just stomped the whiners ... happy times!

That's not okay.

I'm a former Angeleno, but c'mon. There are some really die hard Rams fans from the Lou and while I'm happy the Rams are back in LA, I truly feel bad for them.

So, can we please not do this? Cuz that's the kind of thing that can get a whole fight started and we don't need that negative energy.

Just so you know @Classic Rams , the chill is reserved for the serious “chill out” moments.

We respect St Louis Rams fans here and don’t disparage either town and that whole “LA is where the Rams belong” thing only alienates those St Louis fans who supported our team with their time, talent and treasures and were really hurt not just that they left st Louis, but in the manner that the leaving occurred.

If you haven't, just read the selected articles I posted. Pretty accurate from the hordes of information I read during that turbulent time.

Good points... IMO, neither were/are angels and they'll had to/have to live with themselves.

Like I said, the franchise has had a crazy history... including owners!

Guys remember the part in my OP where I stated that my classmate how he just could not get it that the ONLY reason i went to the Rams/Chiefs game in 85 was because i wanted to see the RAMS? He was clueless thinking I went to that game because i wanted to see the Chiefs.:D He actually thought i gave a crap about the chiefs saying to me-Hey Im really sorry I didnt go to that game with you,how about next week when they play the Broncos, how about we go to that game? I then remember saying to him- Man I hate the Broncos.

I dont know why he thought I went to the chiefs/rams game to the see the chiefs,i kept saying the whole week to him i was excited to see that game because the RAMS were in town, that I always wanted to see THEM. He could not grasp it that I was not like everybody else that grew up in kansas city who all rooted for the chiefs because of that. I can understand WHY initally he would think i went to the chiefs/rams game because of the chiefs but he STILL thought that even AFTER i explained to thim i only went because of the rams.:rolllaugh:
