How do you figure? He has very little route tree outside of quick hitters and a few deep routes. With his skills he should make a killing in the slot. He should be Welker with 4.2 speed. In all reality all he has been is Dante Hall. Nice player, but not a quality receiver.

Should be making a killing in the slot - if there were outside receivers stretching the back end to give him room.

It's hard to know for sure if his limitations are his or if they are the Rams offense but I'm thinking right now that they are more the offense. The QB, the other receivers, and especially the play designs.

Not sure that expecting 3-5 possession catches between them per game is expecting too much. I think that is reasonable.
That would be 48-80 catches over a year. That's a huge year for a rookie not picked in the top 3 rounds.

Amendola killed it in the slot with poor outside receiver play.

No they couldn't. They aren't starter quality receivers.

Sure they could. There were about 30 receivers in the league last year that hit 1,000 yards or close to it. That group includes the likes of Decker, Matthews, Snead, Olsen, Aiken, etc.

Britt and Austin could certainly eclipse 1,000 yards in a vertical offense; that's only 62.5 receiving yards per game.

Fitz played some seriously awful football for many years with the Rams, Cincinatti and Buffalo
Wasn't until Chan Gailey showed up that his game did too.
Would you be willing to wait for 5 more years of Case Keenum?
If Keenum keeps managing things well winning games in the division and not losing games I would be a lot more OK with that than 15 - 65 we saw in StL.

We all know that is not in the cards for our Rams and hopefully the Goff/Gurley/Donald/Fisher era is about to put us on a decade long winning streak

I wouldn't say he "killed" it - unless you are just talking PPR fantasy football - but he was clearly the #1 receiving option.

@FRO

way to rough on Britt....That dude can play....

He's not great but he's solid enough with a friendly system and an average QB to put up 800-1000 yards in a season.

Dude averages 18 per reception.

Rams scheme just sucks balls and he's had terrible QBs passing to him

Then why would you have wished we kept Fitzpatrick? He was 24-41-1 in his first 5 years starting

And they had great coaches and players around him too, amazing that he couldn't carry to move victories :rolleyes:

It was a question! Was I not clear enough!? And I think that it's difficult for a receiver to get 1000 yards a season when so many passes are being spread around to other Targets!
{ And what is this code you speak mean .." What are nbb u trying to say?":confused:}
aw ok lol yea that's a factor 2 but if I'm not mistaken Britt had 5 catches for like 60 yrs. If he get that or more every game that's 960 at least. There's opportunities wr not taking advantage. Austin's getting the targets but he has drops and no separation. They need to impose a heavy dose of Britt and Quick to open up for Tavon and Gurley
