Tutu would survive waivers and make the practice squad....

With Hunter getting traded I'd like to see them cut Rivers and keep Connors and then add Rivers to practice squad for time being until rosters sort themselves out and AD makes his decision. Then if they need to call up Rivers they can make a decision at that point. Seems like Bailey is now a lock which is great... definitely should be.

Practice squad I feel like Lampkin, Peterson, Neal, and Pressley deserve slots.

Yes, CUT Rivers. Not going to happen but Conners would not pass waivers. No way, he has something the Rams have missed. A real pass catching threat out of the backfield.
Rivers would make it through waivers, easy. No team is going to take him just because he is McVays current pet now that Reeder is gone.

I think Atwells familiarity with the offense might make him more valuable.

I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do, but Atwell may hold that as an advantage.

OH - I KNOW - he did BOTH !! WTF you have to decide? I guess when AD99 wants to comeback he will be taking the place of a guy with more UPSIDE!! Then again WE are talking about a HOF player & his upside even after sitting out 2 plus Years has some upside still.

That might only be because he probably will only be a spot player like Tutu Atwell. Speed kills is an old saying. Puka says Tutu wakes up a 4.30 WR. Just think he races against him & always losses.There friendship is pretty cool as well.Robert Woods remembers him.

LOL- Mattew Stafford LOVES him some Tutu Atwell !! It helps test his ARM !! I guess if memory can be my witness. You has to have been there The first time he came out GUNSLINGING to TUTU !!

To think Mattew Stafford is probably (easily) throwing his best Offseason as a RAM EVER !!! His first year when he was traded to The Rams was having issues throwing. I just remember it was like watching an exotic bird flying.
—It was like where did this come from & then as you see it starting to land & there is TUTU ATWELL running under it !! Pretty sweet & you look back & Stafford had just taking the snap (toss). He was sitting out. I know he still remembers it.

There’s 3 or 4 UDFA players worthy of a spot on 53 man roster. It’s a very talented roster, but it would be a shame to not have Connor’s and Bailey on it.

Atwell returned punts for the Dolphins in preseason He returned 3 punts for 4 yards with an average of 14.7 per return. Could the Rams cut Xavier Smith for Atwell and make him the punt return man? That way Atwell would be on the field more. IMO, I feel Atwell would be more of an injury risk, in fact, I believe he missed much of his first year getting hurt on a punt return, but this is possible.

Yes, every year fans freak out over losing an end of roster guy on cut day. Hardly ever happens. It’s does occasionally. Big whoop.

Even still, the freak out is funny because the likilhood that guy ever develops into a difference making player (or even solid starter), is extremely rare.

Fans love to dream on young, cheap potential.
But this team is trying to win a SB this year.

I'm sure it's been said on this thread... but it's always important to remember that these guys would need to be signed onto an active roster to steal them away from PS. I don't think Daniels or Connors have necessarily reached that level.

Bailey? I'd jump all over and put on my active roster.. he's absolutely worth the gamble. It's truly ridiculous that he didn't get drafted.. and I think the Rams may have found another true gem.. a value like Alaric.

Very true & that occurs many times over all seasons.

What concerns being discussed ...is once this initial 2026 MR53 is officially posted on Sunday ...this time period before the Practice Squad comes into existence & made official........any Ram players not included are free open for other NFL teams who call on them & sign them up to an active MR53 contracted salary.

Tutu has proven not to be a reliable return man

Great points, but Miami did give him an opportunity and pretty much anything or anyone is less fragile than TuTu.

My Top 5 defensive rookie UDFA's who were my standouts in preseason:

ED- Darryl Peterson -13 tackles/ 2 sacks loss for 12 yds and a forced fumble.
ED- Westley Bailey- 7 tackles /1 sack loss 8 yds & forced fumble.
CB-Nyzier Fourqurean-13 tackles/ 1 forced fumble
SAF-Nick Anderson- 12 tackles Fumble recovery & always around the ball.
CB- Az Hamilton -10 tacks/1 INT

FYI
Rams 3rd CB (Forbes) & 4th (Wallace) CB contracts end in 6 months. Snead has found 2 GOLD Nuggets listed above, both under contract for the next 3 seasons @ bottom economy costs if they are secured in the MR53.
3rd yr Cam Lampkin can be here for 3 more seasons too, at the same economy price. All 3 of these CB's looked very good in the 3 pre-season gms.

Do the Rams expose uncover & gamble with loosing these 3 CB's to teams like the 9ers & Seahawks who are in need of CB at this time?

For our many members in the recent past lamenting on our constant continuing short corners......Fourqurean is over 6-1 /190 lbs. One again this CB has the it for me for a future investment in our CB.

CB Cam Lampkin (entering 3rd season) lead the Rams preseason defense in stats. Sure appears ready for a much larger roll with this team beside lurking on the PS in 2026. Next Monday evening I hope we end up with both Fourqurean & Lampkin still Rams
