There's a saying that there's a grain of truth in every joke.
Earlier in the week, McVay was joking about coming out in 0-5 personnel.
You all know you want to see it . . . .

13 Personnel works best when you have a good group of tight ends. Rams might not have a single pro bowl type tight end but they probably have the best group of tight ends. They're all athletic. Can run and catch. And block.

When in 13 personnel you normally think run. But they can pass out of because of how good the tight ends are. That formation forces defenses to use bigger, slower LB's. McVay probably gives Stafford the option to change the play based on what he sees. If they suspect pass and go smaller give it to Kyren. If they go big throw it to one of the tight ends or WR.

Knowing how defenses eventually catch up to offenses I imagine someone will figure out how to defend it. But until then McVay should keep using it at the same rate of the last 4 games.

Agreed, and it's good for the run game when you basically have like 4 fullbacks in the blocking game. I noticed McVay used TE's as a fullback on some plays against the whiners.

The only way to stop this O is to get to Stafford. Hope the Oline and scheme protect him. If so the Rams win.
Amen to that. I heard or read yesterday that Stafford has been
one of the least pressured QB's in the league so far this year.
Apologies on forgetting where I heard it.

I tell you BROTHER that run game, along with a very talented WR duo with
serious football IQ'S. Opponents take Our Play action very very seriously.
Oline playing well and are under less pressure because of the play action
Just love our 13 personnel

I am once again blown away by the creativity of our offense
and Defense. just another mutation from one of the best minds
in football.

Our HC, since his first day on the job has been able to
be the trend setter, not the trend follower.
If I'm not mistaken pretty sure our GM is doing the same. :helmet:

See the stats don't tell the truth. The first 5 or 6 games he barely got 2.5 seconds to get rid of the ball. The last 3 games with avila back it has gotten better, but that stat is bull shit. If you have watched the game, you know that isn't true. The biggest reason he hasn't been sacked is because he gets rid of the ball. He sure gets up off the ground a lot for not getting pressured.

I don't know. It feels like for the last 4 games or so, he hasn't gotten pressured much and has had time to throw. The OL has turned it around once healthy.

Today will be the best test since early season. I hope to see that improvement continue.

I'm feeling a break out game for Ferguson today. I'm putting him in my fantasy lineup. I can FEEL it. :)
