Ferg actually gave me Kupp vibs on that catch where he spun and then accelerated for a big gain. Hoping that the whiners have no answer for Ferg and/or our 13 formation this weekend. It's not an often used formation and we are using it to great success this year.
Interestingly, it seems that 13 is up across the league from years past but still pretty small (Steelers lead at 15% and Rams at 7.5% - though I expect those numbers to increase by year end by a significant margin given our almost 50% use in last game).

Mays and Tice mentioned that teams are using 13 and jumbo sets more because the benefits of 12 in the run game have been stymied a bit the last few years by defensive adjustments (and poor run blocking by the 2nd TE). Additionally Mays mentioned that teams (like Seattle) want to pass from it to take advantage of many teams poor base defense - think this is very true for Rams too.

Well its kinda the way we thought it would go. As the season went on he gets used more.
Where are all the sky falling people whining about our top pick not contributing ?
We have a really good team, its hard for a rookie to break the lineup.

Watching the Ferguson college tape post draft, I saw nothing special. I thought he lacked toughness and went down easy.

What I am realizing now is he looks like he has great hands, runs great routes, has nice long speed. He’s also showing solid grasp of blocking scheme and technique.

It’s tough being wrong but at least it’s only my first time. :zany1:Now I know how the rest of you idiots feel. :crap:

That’s just WEAK , but keep living in the DUNG ! Next you’re going to tell us you were wrong about Davis Allen.
KB talked about his TD being the best penalty of the Rams season.I disagree, but he has turned into a nice TD.Last season he was playing hurt.Colby is a tough blocker & makes plays when needed. He an made some nice plays last season in critical games.
Still Higbee is a Dawg & Ferguson is a pup ready to take over the next couple years.

Most of us idiots knew The Rams need a TE in the 2025 draft because the talent was there.Getting a FIRST ROUND pick with him was a steal. What makes Ferguson’s value even better is his age.A lot of room to develop.

I guess I considered you in this group & got PISSED before the JAGS game about how bad of a pick he was.

The other player posters were talking CRAP about was Jarquez Hunter.I know he hasn’t gotten a chance to play or prove himself, but if Kyren doesn’t extend IMO he would’ve found a couple carries.

It shows the depth The Rams have the next 3 seasons.Incould go on.Don’t get into the Draft until the end of the season. It’s SAD when you want The Rams to play well & win,but deep down hoping they find a way to lose just for the better draft position.

Under McSnead they’ve proven you don’t even need a 1st round pick.Jared Verse was nice.
Then again Ferguson & FISKE were nice 2nd rd picks with First round value.Having 2 1st rd picks in 2026 is a good feeling.

It's easy to overlook him, but after I watched his college tape a few times, I'm like.... that's just the thing--it's easy for EVERYONE to overlook him because how sneaky this kid is. Like, he's so smooth & nonchalant as he eases into a zone & boom.
Like, he gets open in ways that make me think... like, the D just doesn't even see him. He not even a blip on their radar. So I think it's not just us overlooking him, it's every defender on the field, because they just don't realize he's a threat until it's too late.
I dunno if it's just how smooth he is--like, completely non-sudden, if that's a word--or, maybe he just gets up to the line, looks at the LB, makes eye contact, and says, "this is not the TE you're looking for..."

He is deceptive just looking at him. I mean, he's kind of got a kids face still. When I watch him run it feels like he's slow as hell but he just has such a long stride it kind of lulls you to sleep I think how fast he can get from A to B even though his legs aren't churning as fast as smaller speed guys. It's going to be fun watching him over time.

I agree

He's not overly physical, but he has great hands and he knows how to run routes. He's going to required to be doubled team at some point.

The same could be said for Puka in college... Who would have thought Puka would be this great in pros.

Each stride eats up a lot of ground
