Just let go of their GM too
I'm guessing he's the reason Quinn held on for so long. Isn't he Snead's boy btw? Les might need an assistant in his scouting empire.

Snead's boy general manager Thomas Dimitroff fired too. All downhill after the Super Bowl lose for the Falcons. Fowler and TG picked the wrong place to go even if they did get well paid.

Well they surely will tank for Lawrence. Be a hard sell to draft Justin Fields.
Raheem Morris is a good dude, got a raw deal in Tampa, and unfortunately this wont look good on his resume

The problem is that dead cap number of Matty Ice, it's at just under $50 million next year if they trade/cut him. The cap hit alone the next two years is $41 million and Julio isn't cheap either. They've put themselves in cap hell for a few years

Not a problem. Cap next year is going to be flexible because of Covid, and Lawrence can ride the pine a year a la Mahomes. There's an out after 2021 and who knows, if the new HC turns the team around (lord knows they have the talent to do so) Ryan could have a great year and trade value

The number I saw at overthecap.com was just under $50 million for Ryan next year and $38.55 million for Julio. That gives them $88.5 million in dead cap next year compared to a $64 million cap hit if they are still on the team in 2021.

Just have to post it and it's been mentioned here.

Arthur Blank is 1 Heck of a Loyal man, to 1 Hell of a fault.

I never will lose respect for him for the things he's done.

Loyal yes. Though owners do have a responsibility to the fans to make good decisions with their team when it comes to the staff and front office and some owners are better than others at making those decisions. Great guy though I am sure.

Maybe he'll learn from this though. I will say I agree with you (in that I respect the dude). Also I respect his lack of greed with his gameday prices in his stadium. When we got to the Super Bowl we were buying beers and food left and right and it was very affordable especially for such a big event. According to the Falcons fans I met that week he is known for that.

But either way I'd be a bit irritated with him if I were an ATL fan. He might be too nice.

Blank is in My Heart because I believe he is part of a group that donates 70 80 percent of all their money...

He could've pushed Atlanta for more, he didn't. He's worth like 6.1 billion and leaves most of it to the poor.

Any one That feeds the homeless the poor is my man, F/=K Football. Jmho

Yes we all know your soapbox issue. By all means start a thread to discuss those you want to be sainted. This thread is about the now open GM and head coach positions with the Falcons and how it could impact them and the players under contract.

I think that was over the top OS. You're better than that man.
