Cool story, Bro. Hope you guys have a great time!

It'll be a blast!
My Dad worked in the carpet industry as a salesman; every year he would have tickets to all the Falcons home games to give to his customers. He knew the Rams were my favorite team so every year when the Falcons played the Rams in Atlanta, he would take me to that game. Boy those were some good memories!

Man, that's awesome! I bet your dad is a cool dude!
Fellow Lou hold-over, and I completely understand why you're still a fan. I, too, became a fan in '99 at the age of eight.

I'm so happy you get to share these memories with your kid, and make sure to bring us home a victory!

Hey Memento! I knew you were from the same area but didn't realize how similar our paths to fandom were. That's awesome. I can just remember how happy it made my dad to see them win that game. I didn't know much about football yet but we were both on our feet for the entire time the Titans were driving at the end. Man...that was a good memory!

Thank you all for the kind words. I'll be sure to share some pictures later. Now here's to salting those birds.

Now, my only worry for the day is a good one to have—how I'm going to decide between my AD99 home or Matthew MVP Stafford away jerseys :thinking:my wife has the new Puka midnight mode and my boy has a Stafford home so I'm leaning toward AD99. What do y'all think?

Horns up!

If in charge, would anyone here offer Atlanta's pick back to them in exchange for their 2nd rd pick this year and their first rd pick next year? Maybe they also throw in a 4th this year and we throw in a 5th next year?

It's not where you pick, it's who you pick. I think Snead could turn those 2 1st rounders into a bevy of picks to restock talent on both sides.

I could be on board with Monsoor, McCoy, or Tyson with that pick. Don't think there will a QB worth taking there. Mendoza/Moore are likely 1/2. If Simpson comes out, not sure we should grab him there anymore. He's downside has shown itself in the last several games. 2nd rounder if you ask me.

I think it’ll end up being either 12 (ATL win) or 10 (ATL loss). Yeah it’s not as good as it seemed like it could 3 weeks ago. But even 12 is waaaay better than I expected at time of the trade (expected 16-25).

I can see the Rams trading back to accumulate more picks, but I think those extra picks need to be in this year's draft, unless we get a deal we truly cannot pass up value-wise (similar to what happened last year with Atlanta offering up their 1st round selection).

This Rams team is already among the elite contenders. We are not going to lose anybody of note this off-season, and the vast majority of our key players are young and should only improve. Add to that the chance to hit on two 1st rounders this draft? That could really push us over the top. Unclear how long we have Stafford for, let alone playing at this level. We need to maximize that. The goal is to win Super Bowls. Not sacrifice arguably your best shot at one, in order to maybe be more competitive over a longer time horizon.

We are a heavyweight this year. Yes, we have some real vulnerabilities, but all teams have some vulnerabilities in a salary gap league. As good as we are this year, barring injuries - you always need luck to win a Super Bowl / attrition is half the battle - 2026-27 should be our best roster, on paper.

While it's a HUGE rivalry, I'd be shocked if Raiders ownership/management didn't do everything short of hiring a sniper to make sure they keep that #1 overall selection.
Starting Kenny Pickett is just about the closest thing to it

In 1981 the 49ers revamped their secondary by using 3 of their first 4 selections on DBs (Ronnie Lott, Eric Wright, Carlton Williamson).

I'm still a BPA within reason guy, but I'm not so sure the Rams shouldn't do the same in the next draft.

I Don't think we need a bunch of picks to sit on the bench like this year. Get 1 or 2 great picks at the top of the draft. Maybe they even start.

Alternative question: was it a good trade for Falcons given everything we know now?

Depends if they have their QB. That first could be used to maneuver up and down the draft board this year. If two QBs hit in the top 10 and the Falcons stay in QB purgatory, IMO it's a failed trade. We had Aaron Donald for what, five years prior to McVay and had a grand total of zero winning seasons? And Pierce seems like he will be similar to BY in terms of impact, not near AD.

That's an extreme example, but the point is you never sacrifice future firsts unless you have your QB locked in

I’d go WR/CB in whatever order in the 1st. Then back to CB in the 2nd (OL in 3rd).

Better would’ve trading back in the 1st for an extra 2nd - using that pick to get as athletic, playmaking iLB (upgrade Speights).

Yeah, 2 of their first 3 picks could easily be CBs. It will be interesting if they want to keep McCreary. He looks quicker than most of their CBs. I was hosting some company today so was hard to pay attention to every play, but he didn't seem to get cooked like the others.

I would have no problem moving on from Durant, and Witherspoon shouldn't see the field unless its an absolute emergency. Forbes still has a lot to prove.
