did he even play in a game?

.

He was productive during week 17 when are starters were resting; Todd Gurley was just so phenomenal and Malcom Brown took advantage of most of his reps that we didn’t even need Dunbar most of the season.

I assess FAs based on how they perform with the opportunities given to them.

Daniel Kilgore. 32 years old and a solid center who won't be getting a big long term deal. Perfect stop gap for the center position.

I could actually see Rams allowing Brockers, Fowler, Littleton, and GZ all to walk. Maybe even Whit, too, if he’s asking too much OR if they feel comfortable that Boom will be ready by September. Seriously.

Me too.

I'll jump on the Kwiatkowski bandwagon.

I still would prefer to get center help - along with D-line help - through the draft.

Might want to keep an eye on this veteran experienced (but always injured) UFA/SFA center. SFA’s do not count towards the awarding of 2021 draft picks in the compensatory draft system.

IMO Kilgore or any experienced starting Interior OL'er who is a street free agent will get the attention of Snead / McVay/ Kromer with the high expectation of several future additional 3rd or 4th rd 2021 CDPA's. For this present Ram team its very low hanging fruit. I know Snead is envious of the four CDPA's that the Patriots received this past week vs his one pick award.

How about Joe Thuney - could we afford him?

If we renounce all of our FA, then yep just barely.

And I think that would be the best plan honestly - love Whitworth, but Thuney would solve our OL short and longterm (assuming Noteboom is healthy enough to play LT).

Then we draft all defense and hope we get three starting caliber players.

I think it would be very shrewd & smart for Snead to plan to be extremely active in the Tier 3 wave, the 2020 NFL Draft & Tier 4.

I would prefer the Rams avoid UFA's who will break the Rams very small salary cap piggy bank & avoid the future damage to this team. This year is not a good time for Snead to move early on Tier 1 types.

After the first wave of FA'cy has passed IF Andrew Whitworth is still unsigned .....Snead's first move make the play in Tier 2 @ LT Whitworth. I realize that this decision runs the risk of losing an opportunity to sign Whitworth.

It would also be wise to be open for any SFA still lurking during this Tier 2 period. Secondly, there is a high need to find a veteran experienced starting center. I could see Snead moving to sign a solid Tier 2 type OC.

Hearing from a fairly reliable source here that the Cardinals will be targeting Littleton AND Brockers.

That sucks

Just waiting to things to play out. Hate that is got moved back, but actually worked out best for the NFL. Get the deal done.

We must get Littleton. Love Brockers but he can walk if Zona offers him the Moon. We do NOT have an adequate replacement for Littleton, and that includes considering Micah Kiser.

I’m sure about Littleton. I think he is gone. My thought are JJ might call the defense this season after learning from Weedle.
Whitworth is key & I think a deal gets done. I’m not swaying away from the O”Line being almost set . My concern would be finding a center. Is a rookie Center ready to make all the calls ?? Mcvay(Kromer) not having Allen get playing time during the preseason was weird imo. Would he do the same with a Starting Rookie Center ?? So I don’t see that happening.

The Rams will lose a couple players on defense. The good part is they are a 3/4 defense & can find a Good Value Pass Rusher in a Deep DE Draft.

As far as ILBer ?? I’ll let things play out ?? Comp picks always have value & a good way to continue to build depth for the future. Clay is also has only 1 more season so a OLB is key with Fowler gone & Clay going into his final season.

The is a lot of cap space avaiable.

This is Overthecap table-------Spotrac slightly higher numbers but, for a general idea, this works and is easier to read.

I'm expecting the Rams to be about $30M cap range when they make some of the anticipated moves to trim space. Which I think is sufficient to bring in one good FA if they choose on top of Whit.

Oh and btw while it is always an advantage with FAs to get them to visit your team first, I have to think that is magnified a bit with everyone not wanting to fly/travel. So hopefully we'll see whoever the Rams target lined up quickly.

Agree. Cordy Glenn released too. I'd take a look

It is very hard to figure out exactly what teams really have in cap space once they sign their free agent and the QB situations evolve. The Rams can't get into a bidding war with other teams that have cap space and are willing to spend that available cap space. I know that stating the obvious.

At this point, Snead's only committed to saying he thinks the Rams and Havenstein can get a deal done and there is no timetable on a Ramsey new deal. I wish I knew how much cap space the Rams will have to available. The price of free agency could be even higher than the always inflated prices if the new CBA is approved. I was thinking around $30 Million as well. It all depends on where they want to spend the money.

Assuming the Rams restructure to get to $30m cap space. Assuming we don’t pick up any Rookies that can start week 1. We need OLT, Edge, ILB1, 5T, K, OC/OG, S. That’s 7 players. I feel the Rams will bring back Whit But it will cost $8m minimum. We have to have a quality ILB1. Which i’ll say will cost $6m minimum. That leaves $16m for 5 players. Which means we need to find players that are willing to sign for average if $3m.

I know a lot of people don't like Reeder, but didn't he play pretty well for a rookie? I mean if he played soundly as a rookie, that should indicate that he is going to get better and better.
Not necessarily.
