Barkley, Jones, and Golladay are injured and the starting LT didn't play vs. the Cowboys. On paper it looks like an unfair advantage for the Rams, but you play who's in front of you. Of course the Rams should win in a cake walk, but we know that probably won't happen in a Met Life East Coast game. The other part is that McVay could get up by three scores early and decide to just pound the ball and Morris will play his prevent defense. This will result in a score that make it seem like a closer game than it actually was, and the Skip Baylesses and Colin Cowherds of the media World will diminish the Rams somehow because they didn't beat them by as many points as the Cowgirls did...... So unless Sean goes out of character and channels his inner Mike Martz, the Rams will win by 7-10 points and will get hate because of it......

What do you think the media will say if the Rams only win by a TD?

It won't even make national media attention. I'm already prepared the game won't be televised.

Who gives a fucking shit? The media doesn't know shit about our team; why should we pay attention to them now?

We're gonna kick ass and take names!

That wasn't an option, Memo. Crap has more undigested corn in it than shit.....

Any road win is a BIG WIN, ... I'm more interested in observing how Stafford and this offense perform, whether his hand is still bothering him, and if he's put the early under-throws behind him.
On D I want to see how much more comfortable Rochelle looks in his second outing and if they finally make some personnel substitutions/adjustments at Rapp's Safety position. Would like to see Morris play tighter with his DB's, and watch our Edge guys contain, isolate and bring down the QB & RB behind the LOS more frequently, meaning sacks & TFL's.
If the Rams play their game, keep the penalties to a minimum and force some turnovers, I'll be satisfied, ... as long as we come home with a WIN and NO injuries.
jmo.

reminds me of the classic Spock's Beard song...."Calk walk on Easy Street".....I hope the team doesn't feel that way...they're going to possibly get a roster full of dudes looking to make a name for themselves with nothing to loose...

So you're assuming the Rams will win, and they'll get a big lead, and then they'll play soft and allow the Gints to catch up a bit, and then the media will diss the Rams cuz it wasn't a blowout? Just trying to keep track of all your assumptions. You're incorrigible, I tells ya! :laugh1:

IMHO the NFL can be really damn unpredictable, which is part of the appeal. That Jets game last year was a brutal reminder. Any team can beat any other provided two things:
(A) one team is geeked out and the other is flat
(B) a few lucky bounces (turnovers).

And as for the media buzz... everyone was singing our praises and crowning us #1 after the Bucs game. We saw what happened next. Screw that!

Having said all that... and just to contradict myself... :laugh1:.... yeah, on paper the Rams are clearly the better team and the Gints just got walloped with THREE injuries to their biggest stars on offense. Rams theoretically SHOULD take care of bidness... providing they're not totally flat and horribly unlucky.

And as always I'm just razzin' ya, @Loyal! :beer2:

Y'all remember what happened the last time we played the Giants in NY? Lol and that was with Eli at QB...

Not expecting that again but I do expect an easy win and a cleaner game than we've seen on the road thus far.

Without Williams, that means Rochell and Long playing big minutes. Just get a win and come out healthy.

I'm hoping the Rams are up 42-0 at halftime then the second half we are playing a pre-season game where most starters are laughing and enjoying watching the rookies play.

Damn straight! Wanting a close game is for freaks!

Just praying for no overconfident shit show.
I think the most important benefit of the Cardinal loss is that the slackline has been jerked tightly... To win this division, there can be no let up and McVay is telling the guys this.

Overconfidence is MY job.

My username should tell you all you need to know about the importance of this game to me. I am very much in Giant country and this is my mini Super Bowl. I’ve already begun the trash talk. Spent too many years growing up rooting for the late Bulger/Bradford etc Rams not to relish these moments
